Nice box! Hard to find with a nice label.
Thanks. If I see them and they are reasonable, I grab them.

All of the sockets are branded and are also marked with model numbers that correspond exactly to the 1951 set parts list except for the 4418 9/16" 3/8-inch drive socket. It has a 12-point 9/16" service opening. It has the unmistakable Duro-Chrome knurling. It is chrome-plated. It is identical in every way to all the other sockets in the set. It just got missed in the roll-stamping pass on the line.
The only pieces not marked are the drive plug and the adaptor drive plug.
The only piece I am missing is the 6” extension, model number 4533. If anyone has one or runs into one, please let me know!
Went to the Industro Factory back in the 60s when I was a mechanic in Chicago. The lobby of the office walls were lined with cases of tools that they had made over the years. We thought maybe we could buy direct but that was a no. One of my most treasured is an industro double box that i used a long time ago to adjust mags on dc3s.
Pretty sure I found one of those a while back.I found this flip over ratchet at the flea market this morning. It's a little leopard-y with box rot spots. 11/16-inch female hex drive. I'm actually not sure what set this goes to. I went through all of four.cycle's catalog pages and the closest match is a 3/8-inch hex drive "Pee Wee" set ratchet, which this ain't. Might need four.cycle to solve this one.
It kind of looks like a Walden version I found that turned out to be for adjusting Model T Ford transmission bands.

Yup that's what it is for

Of course it's better! Have you seen his sets!!??Very nice, CRTDI.
The "Doggone Good Tools" logo decal on that No. 4502 set is only the second I have seen here, the first being on the No. 4518 set I posted here on page 39 in post #778 (and more in post #779 just under it). Your box is even cleaner, and your decal in a little better condition.
Brother!

Haha. True. It's usually the difference between Mine = Preserved (which is like a house that is called "quaint" in real estate lingo) and His = Minty, though. In this case, I was happy for Mine = Minty and His = Mintyer!Of course it's better! Have you seen his sets!!??

Thanks. But thanks to Todd that seems patronizing now. I will have to get even with him in some devious way he least expects.Lugz, your 4518 set is very cool...![]()
No, seriously, I just think it's cool there are two "Doggone Good Tools" decals on the thread now.
Here’s an early Duro 1/2” ratchet. No. 675. Not sure where it fits in relation to the early flat ratchets with the swinging head.
