What year dart, I had a 74. Also cool old Chevy in the backgroundIn the last week I e managed to sell (more importantly, get RID of) a camper trailer, a little utility trailer, a Hammer bandsaw, some led lights and a compressor. These funds allowed me to grab a G3 Hemi for the Dart project! I picked up this 6.1 and really don’t know if I got a great deal or if I bought trouble. I won’t know until later. It’s supposedly an 85k mi pullout that “runs great” except, of course for the fact that it looks like it was drug across the junkyard on a chain! $1500 gamble but at least it has the right bones, if it needs a build.
Now I’ll need to gather a lot of parts plus a trans, hopefully a 6-spd.

Will that actually fit in a Dart?

The Dart project aka: the Yard Dart is a ‘64 GT ragtop, former slant six of course.
Thanks, the Chevy is my ‘66 283 AC truck and it is the nominal inspiration behind my *finally* building my shop... to get the truck inside as it deserves. I’m hoping to one day give a frame-off rotisserie trip but for now I plan to at the least get it cleaned up and driving again. The Dart needs the rotisserie much more right now.

With that engine, it may need to be renamed to the Poison Dart.
I've been so busy trying to get all the Spring Deadline guys' jobs finished up that I haven't been on the boards too much lately.
The latest is a BIG job for a new customer in Colorado who has a '69 Dart 440 with a six pack ...
His Hurst shift lever had been modified (or repaired) and had seen better days. It was dolled up with my best gloss black with logos that match the metallic light green on his interior.
These HP273 Commandos were shipped out to a young guy in Kansas named Jed Scott. He and his dad are GREAT! (Check out his YouTube channel at Scott's Speed Shop. This video makes me PROUD!!!)
I'll try and be better about keeping up. I miss you guys!!!![]()

Welded up a gnome home chimney, n painted it. Turned a bunch of mushrooms out of some sketchy spalted maple. So, fungi out of fungi filled wood..
i need to make friends with some OCD people, then let them come over to my garage. Maybe all my **** will get put away and organized while they are here.
Spent a half hour trying to get my minibike running, changed the coil(bad anyways), cleaned the carb, still wouldn't run.... Turns out I forgot to open the petcock.

Don't feel bad, I spent an hour trying to diagnose a no start on a GSXR-600 that was out of gasSpent a half hour trying to get my minibike running, changed the coil(bad anyways), cleaned the carb, still wouldn't run.... Turns out I forgot to open the petcock.

In my defense, I asked my buddy, who owned the bike, if he had gas in it. Of course he said ''Ya I'm not that stupid''

I couldn't say much, cause I trusted him and didn't check the gas tank for an hour.![]()
