Got the first sheet of drywall up on the ceiling (only took three hours) and then realized I need a laser level or something to keep the screw lines straight.

Well I started by trying to mow my grass, but had to work on my mower 3 times. When I finally finished the grass, I got started on building a chicken tractor, which I've been needing for years.

Used my orbital buffer to correct some bird poop etching on the hoods of my wife's SUV, and my 4Runner.

Both look like new again!

First time installing Dewitt radiator in little red LS3 swap. Found out the bottom outlet rests on the sway bar. SMH Aftermarket part fit. 1982 Corvette

Started on a frame for my air compressor. I want to mount a hose reel to it as it fits my situation better than a wall mount. And I of course ran out of gas for the welder so I went in early for bed.

I removed a hydraulic cylinder in the field from inside the nose of a JCB telehandler for my BIL to take to the shop. The guy at the hydraulic shop says JCB is a four letter word.

I just went through this too. Had read somewhere to put something reflective near where they keep trying to build the nest.

I have a crumpled piece of aluminum foil hanging right where they kept going. Haven't had to pull a nest down in a couple weeks.

Bird scare tape. I cut a length of about 3-4', put a 3-4" strip of duct tape at each end, poke hole in the tape, and then hang both ends from a nail forming a loop of tape. Holds up better then anything else I have tried.

Well the Quadractor is back home, next garage project (again as I did this once already)

I bought this maybe 10 years ago. I did a lot of work on it, sourced a parts machine and factory plow and 3 pt hitch. I never had the need for its primary use as a skidder. It was a tractor show novelty. 4wd, 4 wheel steer, weight is only about 500lb, 72:1 reduction, can skid 4000lb with 8 hp Briggs. Sold it and then bought the land/cabin. I began to miss it and occasionally checked CL. Well it popped up, clearly lost some of its luster but all there including parts.
Time to bring it back to its glory

I'm surprised it has a clearance issue. We put one of their radiator/electric fan combos in Jeff's '70 LT1 and it fit perfect. I got one of their radiator/brushless fan combos for my Malibu. It's supposed to be a drop-in other than getting larger rubber mount pads. DeWitt's makes great stuff and they're great people. They gave me the quote for my radiator/electric fan combo over two years ago and when I ordered it last fall, they honored the original quote, even with upgrading to the brushless fans and making a custom shroud.

Good to know there Tommy. This week was my first attempt at installing or trial fitting. I was going to give them a call and see if I could get a thicker mount for the bottom. Only other option is to cut and re weld the outlet at a greater angle. I ordered this kit from BRP Hot Rods, but will be contacting Dewitt direct as they are local to me (and had I done better research could have ordered direct).

Picked up the $150 off Husky 52" tool box. I am impressed and glad i chose it over the HF box. No knock on HF but I just have a thing for matte black and gloss black combo.
Soft close drawers and comes with liners.

And i didnt get a picture of ALL the packaging, but the last pic is just half of it.

Turned my Rem Line side cabinet into a detail cart.

Removed the wood top board and screwed/bolted the 4 small swivel wheesl (that I got for free at the recycle/dump the other day) and mounted it under the cabinet.

I attached three Blue Point magnetic tool shelves to one side and a HF paper towel holder and glove holder to the other. Next I attached a multiple hook set under the shelves. After that I cut a piece of thick rubber matting and added to the top

Then it was just a matter of filling it up with some of my polishing/detailing supplies. I'll probably make some changes and additions as I go along like changing out the black magnetic shelves for a set of red ones.

That's a nice piece of equipment. Have considered it myself, but really don't have the room.

Pulled-off a scrap pile in the back of a pickup pulling an open trailer also filled with scrap, two cabinets. One was a 16 ga, single door roll-around chest, 5" solid rubber locking caster wheels, double piano hinge door, and a replaced 3/4" plywood top through-bolted into-place. It's about 2 ft x 2 ft x 3 ft H.

The other was a steel chest of hardware drawers, lightweight, but all-there, with the drawer dividers still in their plastic bags. Some rust, but not perforated. It's about 1 ft x 1 ft x 2 ft high.

I kept the red 1-door cabinet's locking casters for another use, adding some HFT furniture dolly caster wheels, and replaced the back of the cabinet, which was missing, easy to-do, as the sheetmetal already had two rows of nut-serts to mount the back. I cut a piece of scrap masonite to-fit, added a half-shelf inside, and put it on craigslist.

The grey steel chest of hardware drawers got a wire brush scuff, and a coat of oil-based paint, after a bit of sheet-metal tweaking. Also placed on craigslist.

The grey drawers had 3 rolls of teflon tape, a couple-dozen crimp wire terminals, a bunch of faucet washers, some angle brackets, miscellaneous nuts, bolts, and washers, etc, all of which was removed and stored in their respective areas.

Free is always good.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Having made my first MC ride of this year (a weekend run to the TX hill country) I was reminded of previous frustration with my gadget-charging troubles.

I seem to have too many gadgets, cameras, etc and everything these days uses USB charging cables. My setup was desperate for upgrading, needed more and more powerful ports and hopefully a bit higher quality pieces for plug retention.
I looked at a bunch of hubs with lots of slots, but they all were hampered by being connected by a single cable, and really low current capability. I found these “marine” port assemblies and powered them with a hefty cable, switch and fuse.
Each port is rated 2.4A. There are six ports so max draw (if you actually had full load on each, simultaneously )would be about 15A. My previous setup could only deliver 4A (total for four ports, using adapter).
Two of these new ports are actually QC compatible for up to 30V! with certain devices.
The first one has an LED voltage display and they are all switched do that I can shut off the bank of ports when parked for a while.
I should *finally* be able to reliably charge batteries while riding without the silly things taking forever AND becoming unplugged from jostling around.

I've been watching that one too but was reading that the top and bottom go on sale around Memorial Weekend for about $300 off so I'm sitting and waiting right now.

I actually used one of those exact same charging ports for my Jeep so I could have my tablet plugged in while navigating offroad. They work well and look OEM.

Great job fitting it onto your bike application.

I have been trying to come up with a cool way to store my chainsaws so I decided to make this chainsaw tree from an old 6x6 and plate of aluminum I had laying around.

picture.php

The wood is very dry, so rust shouldn't be too much of a concern. I hope.

If that's a *treated* 6-by I'd definitely oil it!

I'm glad you said you were happy with the build quality because I was getting worried about the number of people who said they had to return parts for being bent/scraped/not working correctly...

Hope it drops again and you can return/rebuy.

Mowed my lawn when I got home from work yesterday, then finished wiring up the new CB in the Jeep. I had to reroute my antenna coax from the location my last CB was in which took the most time. Then trying to keep it hidden and tucked behind trim panels.

Spent half of yesterday working on packing the garage. I managed to get the two big shelves cleaned off and broken down. I have two more to go.
