I'm getting caught up here. This post is about a small tool box I found weekend before last. At first, I wasn't much interested, but looking inside, I saw a couple of items that looked interesting. I asked it they would bundle it with a knife sharpening kit, and they did.
One of the more interesting items, not of much monetary value, but which fills a desire for me, is a replaceable tip for my pick set that I've had for over 40 years. I loaned out the o-ring pick to a co-worker who broke off the tip, and I have have been using it with a shortened, reground tip ever since.
There are a couple of scales, a Brown and Sharpe 12" and a H.F. Ritter stainless steel 6", along with a 6" General depth gauge/scale.
Another reason I bought the box was the P&C #131 ignition wrench (13/64x15/64). The small inspection mirror is also useful.
I have no idea who made the box, or what the brand was, since there are not markings. The only hint is a sticker that warns to close the drawers before closing the lid.
I only paid $10.00 for the whole works, so I feel good about it.
