I'm somewhat old school, despite only leaving 5 years ago. I do wheel alignment with measuring sticks. This is a Fix It Again Tomorrow, not a Fix Or Repair Daily, i got 16 valves to grind..

I think they're pretty cool, despite not being all that useful. I bought my dad two of them because they're pretty neat. He doesn't/won't use them, but they're cool pieces to have.

Tank Nuts, Collars, Compression rings whenever the need exposes it self. I have the adjustable face spanners but didnt have any fixed ones. Im very happy...

You will love the Esgen stuff, the quality is top notch. Signet make some good tools, but sadly Ribe sockets aren't one of them (Waaay too brittle). Maybe i just had a bad batch. The Ribes that i have had to replace all broke undoing Fiat head bolts.

That's what i feared. Oh well..

The Esgen stuff looks good, never used it before. I'll have to get you to get me some Esgen alternator pulley removal sockets some time too.

I have a Fiat head sitting in the garage. Got the go-ahead last night to do all the req'd work.

Bingo. It is for my wife's 1993 Limited Edition MX-5 Miata. 1 of 1500 with red interiors, and Mazda sold out of all spare red parts years ago, so this dash is like gold for me.

The swivel head works really nice and smooth. It's only 39 tooth but still is a great ratchet.

Havn't bought much just 3 things not a lot on ebay at the moment that I need or want.

Ball tip hex keys.

Twin cam locking tool to replace mine that got stolen some years ago.

And finally an new S80 so I can start replacing my old ratchets.

Have you had a chance to use the cam lock? I'd like to have one, to replace my paint pen. They look good.

Nothing beats having the right tool for the job. I want to buy the VAG timing tools, as they make it so easy, and in some cases (TDIs, for example.) are essential.

My dad relayed a similar thing to me years ago; as Sir Henry Royce (Of Rolls-Royce fame) once said "Buy only the best, as the quality will remain long after the price has been forgotten."

Which is why i buy Norbar torque wrenches!

(Norbar 13264, 3/8"-drive, 8-50nm.)

For those of you that don't know, Norbar were started in the second world war, to produce extemely accurate torque wrenches. For the sole purpose of torquing down the cylinder heads on Rolls-Royce Merlin and Meteor engines, as they are gasketless.

Got this set of brand new elora 1/2 bits for £10 which I think was pretty cheap.

The extensions (but not the U/J) have a hole for the detent ball to sit in instead of a groove, so they only hold together well in one orientation. What would the reason be for this?
