Would you help me understand whether I can pile up cash-back and credit card discounts?

...

Does that mean:

total cost I have to pay (before taxes) = $58.99 = $109.99 - 10% credit card credit - $25 in cash back - $15 in free cash?

AND I get 4 x $25 cash backs?

Unless something has changed, you need to spend $100 out of pocket to get the $100 points-back offer.

As yrly mentioned, the 10% credit card offer might not come into play.

But from what I've seen, if you use the $25 in points and/or $15 in freecash to bring the out-of-pocket total below $100, you won't get the $100 points back for that purchase.

My next 2nd of 4 cash backs for $25 is due this coming Monday, 3rd two weeks after that, and 4th two weeks after that.

If I make this tool cart purchase, would that total $50 in cash back for the three overlapping cash back offers?
i used a card on a purchase last year and pretty sure the 10% came off after the discounts were applied (freecash anyway) so it might look more like 109.99 - 15 - 10% - 25 = 60.49.
best thing to do is add it to your cart and see what it comes up with. or maybe even ask chat what the best price they can give you is when you use your sears card.

either way make sure its $100 OOP before tax/shipping in order to get the $100 back. and those do overlap depending on when you order

I am currently getting $75 back per day, plus $50 every Sunday from some 52 week promotions earlier in the year.
duuuuuude
(though i assume you meant $75 per two weeks, plus $50/week, right? either way $125 to drop at once would be nice)

Cool. I used one of my 'Z' Great Star chisels a few weeks ago, and although the finish may not be quite as nice as the WF US ones on close examination, it still held up and did the job. If Sears had to lose their previous major tool suppliers and panic-switch to a random Chinese company, this one seems to have worked out surprisingly well. I think the big set of socket accessories I got is 'Z' also, and there was one misformed piece in there (a 1/4" bit adapter that 1/4" hex bits won't fit in), but I think that's the only complaint I've noticed.

I finally got around to using the 130-pc tool set I bought from Kmart this week and they are all Z-code. The finish on these is quite nice and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the ratcheting mechanism work. I did use the 1/4" socket with 1/4" hex bits without any issue. But, back to your point, this supplier seems to produce some decent quality tools, especially given the tight timeline Sears must have had to find another supplier. I have not purchased any of their chisels since I have had an abundance of WF models still in packages right up to the final days at my now closed Sears and I keep missing them online, too.

No, $75 per day. I have done the current deal every day since it started and did the 50/100 deal every day. I currently have $1041 in SYW rewards.

One thing I’ve found if you buy something with rewards and the order gets cancelled by sears when they refund you the rewards they don’t expire for a year. So if you have expiring rewards try to order something bf you know is OOS.

Lol at least I’m not the only one milking the heck out of this. I’d have done more of these current points offers but I don’t even know what to even buy anymore. I’ve pretty much exhausted everything I can think of after years of this, I got most of the weird specialty tools, I got my wife all sorts of weird kitchen appliances and am now on to getting stuff like spare garage door openers or tool sets just to try (I really didn’t need the metric half of the SAE ultimate collection set).

I found out the source of the expiration date for the $100 cash back offer: e-mails from Sears.

I just got an e-mail from Sears.com about the $100 cash back offer and the expiration date is today, 12/7/19. For those of you more experienced than me, does Sears always have this type of brief expiration date, only to renew it the next day? In other words, should I expect the deal to renew tomorrow?

Thanks

This sale actually has been running since early November so it’s been weeks. Could they do another tomorrow? Yes. I would expect it being near Christmas. They’ve done it in the past. Thing is I can see them making the points offers drag more into the first months of next year for the remaining stores as it’s a slow time for retailers.

I know what you mean. I bought the air fryer deal today, why I’ll never know.

Some things I have and still haven’t opened, two gladiator workbenches, I’ve opened and set up two with the fixed height and two with the adjustable height. Three gladiator cabinets 30x30 I think size (I set up and hung 8) the fixed height work benches and cabinets were all $80 each at the time. The bigger adjustable height gladiator bench I paid full price but got 100% back in rewards (platinum member Xmas benefit one year). Oh and I bought a greenhouse too. I think someone ordered it online and returned it to the store, it’s a $400 green house I think I got it for $80 in points. It’s still in the boxes. A drill press. A Dewalt planer. A couple years back they’re were doing either 25 or I think 50% back in points in Dewalt all month, and it was my birthday so I was getting another 15% back in points on top of it.

I got a large compressor that way, not the pro series but I can’t complain.

A couple years back we gave every one in my wife’s family a food processor - some crazy sale from sears. Hamilton brand I think.

A lot of people hate eddie Lampert, but in my mind, he’s the greatest CEO of all time. I hope he keeps it going ten more years!

Theee years ago I got tires for our Ford Escape and chevy suburban and paid for them 90% in points. Eddie has made my life far richer. Sad to see the stores go but at least he shared the wealth.

Ordered two of those tiny $10 socket sets with some and finally got around to looking at them. They were still apex sourced. One had the warranty on the back mentioning Sears, the other did not which is like the Sears sourced stuff turning up at other retailers. Apex sockets are shorter than great star sourced and the chrome is more dull.

Would you re-post a clearer photo of the front and back?

I have a Sears bought metric set for a Xmas present. Nowhere does it say Apex made, just Made in China for Sears. Please elaborate on how you know it's Apex sourced.

FYI, it looks like the $100 cash back for $100 purchase just expired :(

The best offer is $20 cash back next day for $80 purchase. Yuck!

I should clarify both those pictured sets are from Apex, neither are Z-AH stamped which is great star. I have older Apex sockets in my garage for comparison. The label printed on the back just verifies the SAE set is older, the newer ones are like the one on the right, the ones without the stamping on the rear of the case are the ones I’ve seen turn up at stores other than Sears. The taller great star socket on the left is from the ultimate collection set just for comparison.

Apex will have the standard ratchet style stamped A-AH.

This is a small Z-AH stamped set, notice the different ratchet.

The sockets have the same part numbers even if they’re different designs.

It sure did. And it looks like they jacked the price up on everything too. I have noticed the last few weeks the prices change as Sunday progresses on a lot of items, I think it’s because most of their web team is in India these days and it’s just because of the time differential. So prices may change yet again as the day goes on.

It used to be most if not all changes happened on Sunday and sometimes again on Wednesday.

Thanks. I just noticed that the prices for the same items increased, even for those that are STILL out of stock, go figure.

About the price changes on Sundays, do they all increase, all decrease, of some increase, and others decrease? How many times does a given item change in price on Sundays?

just a note on some of the new listing for their tool boxes: looks like the ones with the crappy pictures are now 24" deep. might officially put them as a better deal than the HF ones with sears' sales prices. $479-35off300=$444 for a 53x24" box.
this one has griplatch instead of soft close drawers tho...not my preference

Are you certain there are Craftsman sockets sourced from Great Star?

I've seen reports about Great Star filling in for the departure by Western Forge, but don't remember any sockets made by WF. Plus, Sears sued WF when they decided to stop supplying Sears with Craftsman items, but haven't heard of any bad blood with Apex Tool Group.

All they changed was the label and Metric is now blue instead of black. Imagine tying up the courts over this.

Actually, the "Metric" is a dark blue on the older Collection sets at the local store.

The local store also has a Craftsman Ultimate promo poster, and little "Assortment" labels have been placed on top of the "Ultimate" parts.

Despite the $**.94 Blowout prices still being displayed on the website, some store prices already went back to full regular price in the past few weeks.

I don't see any remaining $**.94 Blowout prices on the website today, so I guess they are trying to end the event. The lower priced $**.88 items are probably items that they truly want to get rid of completely.

The ultimate collection tool set is from great star, the socket from the 12 point small set is identical to the ultimate collection set. The smaller gray and black box sets are from Apex.

It’s just random items. Seems like they change them between 1 and 3 am for most items, but sometimes in the afternoon they’ll reprice some, not all, just certain things. I think the changes overnight are more automated either by a percentage or by sku, and then someone goes in in the afternoon and fixes some to a different price, sometimes lower sometime higher. Not seeing any examples yet but I just started looking again now.

I saw this thing in person in store yesterday. It's NICE, like probably the most decent thing they still sell nice. The drawer latches, metal gauge etc are super beefy. Couldn't find a COO on it though so I'm pretty sure its China, chat confirmed this. That said I'd take it over the squeaky drawer harbor freight units that don't have the latch. It's officially a transformco product on all the decals inside etc so can't image they ordered many of them, I'd get one if its what you want. Comes with a limited lifetime warranty too, so when sears folds you should be able to force SBD to honor that if you scan the receipt.

That Griplatch does look different from the old Waterloo version, but I suppose they could have updated the design.

Did you get a look at the manual? It may mention SBD somewhere in it. Also, you may need to see the cardboard box to check if it states USA with global materials.

Thanks.

Anyone have this?

I have these too. Picked them up last year around this time. They have worked well for me. The selector is fairly positive when you click it. I haven't had them unclick on me while turning them. I have only used a couple of them in ratchet mode but they are worth it.
