No VIN uncovered, info was from the axles, they are dated 1986, hard to believe they would be used on a 1993 trailer, but maybe?
I am not too concerned about it, after looking things over, the frame and deck are mostly good, the axles and spring hangers are essentially junk. I will be essentially building an updated version of the trailer, then I will have to register it as homemade since I don't have a VIN. No big deal for me, trailer is for local use and DOT doesn't usually care about the VIN, just the fact that the trailer is up to snuff and doesn't look overloaded.
I have just spent another couple hours working on Perk's lights, this issue has been plaguing me for weeks, the headlights work, the taillights/marker lights work, just not at the same time, you had to chose one or the other, not a good situation. I started testing all the relays and reviewing the circuits, nothing made sense, I drew a chart, marked out voltage or ground, or nothing for each pin on the relays, even more confused. I watched youtube videos, read some articles, still nothing clicked. I started drawing my own diagram and could not make heads or tails of what was happening. I thought there should be a ground at one point, but I had 12 volts, made no sense, so I opened up the dash and this is what I found.........
This is the interrupt switch, so you can flash tail lights without losing headlights when someone flashes to let you know it is safe to pull in after a lane change, completely disconnected.
This is what happens when you have two people swapping jobs midway. Oh well, it is fixed now and I will have most of the relays put back together this afternoon.
