Thanks for checkingNope. WF-73 and -74.
The blue one with the spring and the decal says "SUPREME." Anyone know who (other than Blue-Point) used that brand name?

That deserves a you ****. The big Plomb is worth that alone. Also another Plomb driver! There were two good looking sales in the area today, so while I didn't try to get there first (I hate standing in line) but still, I found some interesting things. From the first sale, a family run affair:

Blue Point obstruction wrench (E), Plomb deep socket, Proto LA impact, Proto Pro hex socket, what I thought was a Proto BP, Williams long tappet, Plomb/Proto combo, and a Clevland Twist reamer in box. $10
The other sale, an estate sale run by a decent company, seemed to have half the town there, but I still managed to find the goodies:

Starrett 9" centerfinder, Jorgensen DP clamp, Armstrong DBE, Proto 3/8" socket spinners, Plomb pebble cabinet driver, Pex Stow and Wilcox 4" adjustable, Plomb 1-5/16" combo and

Disston dovetail saw, made between 1896-1917. All of that for $24.

With similar designs, I wonder if Danielson also had a wartime contract for hammers....paging Private Lugnutz....

3Bay, what is the size on the Gedore? Is it metric? Years ago I found a wood handled WERA in 9mm at the swap. I only use it on Huret derailers but I love that thing. Over the years I pick up any wood handled metric spinners I find.
I like how the herbrand has the 6point style open end.
, for 3 bucks. I left a handful of Walden Spintites I was tossing over at a buck apiece, I never really got into those.
turned out to be way better than the tools though. Sorry no food pics!

Outlaw, isn't that marking on the cymbal the signature of the drummer for the Grateful Dead? Or at least close enough I can picture someone trying to convince a DeadHead of the provenance!
Not at all, gpw_42, thanks! I appreciate the reference, although none does not appear to be a copper hammer. Hmmm, I like a good mystery.Hope I'm not overstepping here, as I found 3 of the 4 contract books on Googlebooks.HTML:

3bay I like the box!
but a work of warning on those green krinkle painted clamps - I bought a set new "back in the day" and one broke pretty easily, and the others were not the usual Craftsman quality. I don't know what went wrong with Sears procurement on those, but unless needed to complete a set for some reason - not good users...
bmw, you **** on this weeks haul!
I came up with two drummers for the GD; neither looks close
But you made me look!

Im pretty sure what you have there is a cymbal autographed by Austrian drummer Thomas Lang...from stOrk.So not Zildjian cymbals -(Pic close up and darkened gave me more detail, if not an ID) and google says probably not US (Zildjian is not -I did not know that...) and I didn't find ANY US cymbal makers?
Any drummers out there? It lookes like "The ????"

Garage sale finds. Left pic was 25 Cents each. Largest adjustable is an old crescent (real thick), Medium adjustable and two snips are Diamond Tool, small adjustable and obstruction wrench is Proto. Pump pliers is Artison, small pliers is Husky USA. Box end wrench is Snap On 8 and 10 mm.
Second pic is a Versa-Vice, I got three pcs. for $20.00.
Best day all summer, and it's almost done.
That's a Garage Sale Thread first!
Thanks for checking!Boy, things are really starting to pick up around this thread!
Thanks Provincial--I thought the bottom was sprayed because even the latches were painted the same.
Three stops yesterday. First was a bust, second was marginal and therefore went to the third even though I knew it was the first day of mostly high end Snap-on.
Second stop scored an S-K Diamond 42470 ½dr fine tooth ratchet and five sockets: two Penens, a Williams deep Cadmium, a New Britain and a Craftsman circle H.
I wasn’t too keen on going to the third sale because they were advertising mostly Snap-on to be sold as sets only. But because it was still early when I had finished the planned sales, I decided just to go and see what they had. They had a lot—a lot of Snap-on. I would venture to say the value of the tools was equal to the value of the house itself—not exaggerating.
But the best part—for me—was that if it wasn’t shiny and marked Snap-on, they were practically giving it away. Now, there was only one box of what I consider interesting (i.e. vintage) tools. It was being completely ignored so I parked myself in front of it and starting going through it.
First to catch my eye was the Plomb 4795 socket set box. It had several Plomb sockets and the sliding T, so I started carefully searching for other Plomb sockets and tools. I found a couple more sockets, and the two WF universal sockets (WF-73 & 74—Sorry Roy, no 72!) but no ratchet or spinner.
Next was an L.S. Starrett 12” Outside Caliper with fine adjustment.
The combination square is a Goodell-Pratt No.4 but the protractor and center finder are L.S.Starrett.
Several other Starrett pieces—the fishtail centering gauge, 3” rule, steel protractor (missing the ruler) and empty ruler case.
The thick 6” rule is Miller’s Falls as is the third screwdriver bit—the others are Irwin, Stanley and Fuller .
I couldn’t find any info on the Herschel alligator wrench—there’s a “1” cast into the reverse.
The little open end wrench is a Long C Craftsman CI
Cute little wood handle screwdriver and a General Tool Scriber.
All of that from the garage for $10.
They had the house stuffed with all manner of things and I came out with never-been-used Channellock 348-1/2 Lineman dikes, two unused 6” buffer wheels and a 3” Starrett inside caliper. All for $7.
Not a bad day!
