It seems that everyone who’s posted has had a good weekend.
MrsLS was down the shore (OCNJ) with her double-cancer-surviving mother this weekend, so I was on my own this morning at Jake’s flea. Because I was ambivalent about the weather, I missed the first two hours of daylight. Nevertheless, $47 brought home the following:
Stanley Rule & Level 745 table vise - as found I could not find any marks on it, but by the details it was obviously Stanley. After our recent discussion on these codes, I figured I’d take a chance And pay the asking price. Glad I did.
18 inch Craftsman underline pipe wrench.
5 geometric-C Craftsman nutdrivers.
Crown top expansive bracebit.
Dayton 2904 spring leaf separator.
Pre-Stanley North Bros all-metal push drill in amazing condition.
2 early Snap-on socket trays. Elsewhere I spotted a SO Midget rat with a few sockets in a SK box. Nice rat, but $75? hahaha...shaking my head.
Single Pony-ancestor bar clamp, sans bar (both pieces). It’s dimly Craftsman-blue, but I don’t see any logo, just 7346-4 and made in usa. Also a recurrent foundry mark of an “M” inside a squarish octagon.
Stanley 404 picture-frame clamp. Pretty cruddy, but I almost paid eBray $15 for one, and this one was just $1.
Lutz file handle.
SH anchor TM pat apld for lineman’s pliers. Dunno SH.
C’man underline bitbrace screwdriver.
Unmarked Chisel - really thought there was a logo telegraphing through the rust. Oh well.
Proto Los Angeles 5-1/2 chisel.
Bridgeport box tool.
1890 Bernard patent Schollhorn pliers, Sargent dikes, and a silly multi tool I hoped was USA, but turned out Germany. (I’ve been watching a much larger Bonney version on eBay.)
Bonney 3/8dr sliding tee with a Mac 1/2dr adaptor stuck on it. The tee is also laser-etched with Mack Trucks Inc, so I picked it, even though I haven’t been focused on later Bonney.
Seymour Smith 1697 Snap-Lock, patents pending - look a LOT like Bonney-branded ones I’ve seen.
5” 2-patent + patents pending Petersen Vise Grips.
Bridgeport (EDIT - New Britain - Arrg! I mix them up all the time!) pat apld for pistol-grip slip-joints.
On the way home, stopped at a smaller flea and paid $1 to extend my Landmark books collection. Closeups are after some time on the wire wheel.
