We've all been there.
The effort and labor involved just makes it so much sweeter in the end![]()
Since Minnesota’s fall season was abruptly cut short by record early snowfall and now our roads are all full of salt, today my ‘73 Mercedes 450SL got an oil change, a wash, and went into her bubble for a long winters nap.

Luckily no salt or brine yet in Ohio, but I tucked my mustang away for winter yesterday. I have heard of these before, but never saw one in person. It's an interesting concept. I contemplated getting one for the cycle, but then got paranoid about power outages. I was afraid the plastic would stick to the paint if it ever deflated. So long summer cars [emoji3525]
That’s a fair point. I suppose that a couple of moving blankets could be left on the car as an intermediate barrier “just in case” of a deflation. Besides the inherent physical protection of the bubble, I really love not having to worry about Mickey and Minnie taking up residence in my car.

Nice. those are such good looking cars.Since Minnesota’s fall season was abruptly cut short by record early snowfall and now our roads are all full of salt, today my ‘73 Mercedes 450SL got an oil change, a wash, and went into her bubble for a long winters nap.
I like how you think. Is it the physical barrier that keeps them out or does it incorporate another method? I use drier sheets on the interior of my car. It makes it smell fresh if nothing else. I think any strong aromatic will deter them. Mice are a major pia. I have seen them destroy many things over the years.
Last year they munched on my trailer wiring for my tilt deck trailer. Jokes on them....I found a huge snake skin in the same tool box. They were someone's lunch. Now I worry about running into the snake all the time, but he can keep eating those mice. I have a huge dislike of snakes, but he was a good friend in this case.
Johnehr, that's a beautiful Mercedes. The next year the United States of America made them do this:
