Seat time is always a good thing before you sink money into something. Nice call on the caliper tool.
concord coach lines from the portland train station goes direct to logan/ south station {not north station like the downeaster). amtrack from south station straight into NYC, subway from there.
in normal times there are a bunch of runs a day of both. dunno right now.
It was 63 on Beals island, I had 2 long sleeve shirts onToday is going to be hot......
I'll come take it off your hands. You will have to pay me though. Also, Goldfender acted up this morning, sputtering and stumbling at RPMs less than about 2k, made it to the Hill, but wasn't really confidence inducing. I think it could use a tuneup, but this seemed more fuel related to me.
Have you guys been very dry so far this spring? This morning the HVAC guy is going to try and finish up the drain system so he will be out of the attic area. We still have to wait for the electrician to get the disconnect wired up, hopefully we can have that done soon. It would be really nice to have the AC working, it is pretty hot up there!
The bulk of the day is centered on cleanup at the camp that is too be rented, I have help and I plan on taking full advantage of it. At least the next couple days look to be less humid and cooler. I guess tonight could even see mid 30s, but this weekend looks like it could be a bit of a wet one, lucky for me, I have plenty to do inside.![]()

Same here. No time off, just continue to work. One of these days I'm just going to say, "NOPE". Then I'm going to sit down a read a book. This weekend I think I am going to stay close to home and just concentrate on cleaning things up, with the holiday weekend no need to deal with traffic anyways. I also have more than enough things to do.![]()
If you was closer I could have that gone tonight. Two loads of portland a week is all that anyone can get around here right now.So the other day I was at Dad’s shop and they had been messing with cement from the tanker trailer that he wants to scrap. He was having my Cousin shovel it into these bags to save it. The bags have liners, but definitely not ideal. Made a huge mess, essentially blocked the entire front of his shop. This was only part way through the process.
Today I come in and my Dad and Cousin are at the Hill in the Quonset hut.
Good thing we installed that pallet racking to put all the pallets of stuff on!??! I guess that means the Quonset hut is now effed, I have no place to put the pallets of things he wanted to keep, so the other half of the hut’s floor is covered with pallets and random ****. To be fair, each one of these bags is worth almost $100 if you bought the cement new, but Dad spent about $30 on the bags and three or four days shoveling and handling the cement. Totally worth it, especially now that there is no place to put anything again! I actually told dad that he need to take them all down because he forgot to put the rebar in them, since they will probably be hard as a rock by the time he wants to use them.![]()

That looks in amazing condition for the year and miles.I know it's newer then you like, not a barn door or diesel but here's a 2005 2500 for sale - https://carsandbids.com/auctions/3vV8Vded/2005-chevrolet-suburban-2500-ls-4x4
Today was a long day, didn’t get what I had originally planned done, but we did get a lot of things done and figured out. Very productive overall. We pulled the batteries out of the two junk forklifts, pulled parts off, and cut some pieces off too. There is a mess outside now, but things are ready for the scrap yard. We also shuffled the trailers around so everything is accessible and the Ford Knuckleboom is useful. Unfortunately, none of the pallet racking got put together.I can’t complain though, it was a busy day and I feel good about where we left off.
You have to be careful with forklifts, they sink really quick when you hit a soft spot.
