Many quality USA used compressors will outlast many here.. I just upgraded my compressor from a Curtis 5 hp two stage I bought 22/23 years ago.. (home shop but used hard sometimes) The Curtis is going to my friends to finish out it's life, and my friends too..It's works like the day I picked it up using syn oil, and is a disk valve model. Picked up a real nice 7,5 champion with the Disk valve R-30D pump. Turns 575 RPM, and is quiet. It was setup in a auto shop with a twin on a alternator setup. Good maintenance, and low use. I have a RPC and it runs perfect on it (3 phase) $1200 is what I paid, and nothing sold now is close to the quality without spending at least $4000 plus..
I went to Pacific air, and picked up some syn. oil, and talked to the parts guy there. He was the one that put the bug in Champion's ear to put the 15 hp pumps with a 7.5 motor and make it a long lasting quiet unit. They sold hundreds of them the first month.. The ones on Ebay are not the high-end pump models with the disk valves/low oil setup, and centrifugal unloader..
I looked high, and low for the Eaton pump RPM.. (trade secret?)
