Got my new XDT16Z impact driver today. More compact and more power than my 10 year old LXDT01 (which still works fine). Wife says "don't you already have one like that?" Well yes, but I need 2. The old one to keep in the shed and the other one for everything else. "OK" ;)

You've got me squinting and using a digital caliper to figure out which one is off-center.

I must be blind, because I can't figure it out.
This one looks like it but it may be the pic angle. Also a pic of mine that I sent to Hazet and they replaced it. It doesn't affect function but for a 25eur wrench it should be perfect.

EDIT: For anyone asking, these are Hazet 612N, come in singles, not as a set. eg 10x11, 12x14mm

Couldn't find my good crimper this morning, headed off to Horrible Fright... Came home with five items.

Was getting low on the 7mil gloves
Broke my old battery terminal cleaner doodad
Screen had crapped out on my infra red thermometer
Needed the cable wrap for today's wiring tidy-up (altho I wasn't planning on buying it until I saw it)

So all five were justified (as were the four other items on the way from Amazon today) :)IMG_20220617_102349401.jpg

Damn it ... checks Snapon.Com

EDIT: Got it... $23 on Fleabay from my snapon guy.
My Snap-on USB charger arrived today... I plugged it into charge... nothing happened. I had it in a 1ah charger brick. I moved it to a 12ah brick... it flashed... burped... farted... gears ground... puff of smoke.... and now it's charging... currently at 003 of 100. Never saw that... something not charging on a 1ah brick. I actually label all my USB bricks to know what the output is. THIS is an example of why I do that.

I needed a vacuum pump to troubleshoot the vacuum system on my 50 year old Chevy. This one seems to hold vacuum well enough.

The Icon sets were a bit wasteful. Plastic Phillips screws just to get the clear plastic off and then lots of throwaway packaging for some sockets that are just going straight on to some rails in my toolbox.

Rest of the stuff showed up. That *Pink Stuff* is alleged to get dried oil stains out of T shirts that have already been through the wash cycle a couple of times...

Green doodads are to prevent hose getting stuck under tires when washing the car.

Diamond grinder wheel is to clean up some concrete (tomorrows project after I get done painting the interior garage door trim)

Couldn't resist the book....

3/8 KTC Japan Swivel Head, with Long Handle.
This ratchet is also marked “Japan” and is beautifully made. My only gripe is the contoured handle might be a little short in length but I have not used it yet. Very happy with it nonetheless.

1/4” Tone Japan Flex Head ratchet with long handle. I use 1/4” probably more than any other drive size and I think long handled 1/4” ratchets are very useful!

Some gently (mostly never used) snap on. Found a young guy getting out of the trade and bought most of what he had listed 1/3 of msrp. This brings me to a full set of Snappy chrome sockets in 1/4 and 3/8 dr. Waiting for the right price and deal took a few years, but worth it in the end.

Some friends of ours posted this on FB marketplace; my wife saw it and sent them a message. We’ve been wanting our own for a while, and for the price we couldn’t pass this one up. My wife was really the one that pushed for it believe it or not. She really likes running them but she didn’t care for the open station Case we’ve been leasing. Cleared about 1/4 acre of big cedars the evening we got it home. Pretty happy with it!

In their new home, decided to pick up the US general 6 drawer cart. A small amount of buyers regret. I kind of wish I went with the green or orange now. I had my eyes on a snap on one from facebook market place, white with black trim and sliding top for $800 but it sold QUICK! I was really liking the storm trooper vibes with the white and black trim. HF really needs to expand their color lines like they do for the 5 drawer cart because I would definitely buy a white or grey one.

Picked this up with the 20% off coupon. New item, weren't put out on the floor yet, the employee that helped me out that got it from the back didn't even know about them yet.

Unfortunately my M18 Compact won't fit in it with my M18 Mid-Torque (middle hole is the only large hole) so I think I'm gonna return it. That's a deal breaker for me since my impact driver shown lives in a tool bag & gets used mostly away from home. It's pretty nice though, just wish it would have worked out for me.

Matco wrench showed up today to replace the black sheep out of my set. I bought my Matco sets off the truck new almost 20 yrs ago. One of them was the older ones with V notch like the older Bonney made wrenches except it's Danaher/Armstrong. Never really bothered me up until now, not sure why now.

Luckily I found a NOS USA one on ebay. I paid a bit more for it than it would be new from Matco today but no way I was gonna buy a Taiwan made replacement to go in my set. :)

Older RCL series on top.

Now the replacement looks out of place cause it's all shiny & new. I guess I'm gonna have to toss it down the driveway a few times to scratch it up (yeah right)!

Dewalt grease gun for the new Bobcat. Saw horses from Lowes. Estwing hammers👍

I just bought the Bauer cordless grease gun. So far I love it. The best thing about it to me are two hands are now enough. With my manual guns-both styles- it was always misery in tight spots especially. So far I have used it on a golf cart suspension, swivel wheels and a tractor. My skid steer and mini-excavator is where it is really going to shine.

Milwaukee drill+driver kit. Brushless. I didn’t mind paying the extra $30 for the brushless and bigger battery. Got it at Rural King on sale for $179.99. I really need an upgrade my Porter Cable stuff that is 2017 vintage is just plain worn out after using it in an everyday environment. I’ll still continue to use them at home. And it will be nice to be able to have all my batteries use the same charger now too for work. The non brushless with the smaller batteries was $149.99. Hopefully these batteries will last longer than the first one I had that failed in 8 months. I might even slap my batteries from my 1/2 inch impact on here and see how powerful it can be LOL.

Read the warranty statement. If batteries only lasted ~8 months, I would not be happy.

Haven't posted any new purchases lately as we've been busy cleaning out my Grandma's place (now sold). Wife and I just closed on a rental which we'll take possession on the first (3 Car garage with a detached 2+1 bed, 1 bath house). Hasn't stopped me however in continuing my quest to fill oddball sizes of sockets on these stupid trays. I'm happy to report that I've managed to fill both 1/4 and 3/8" drive metric trays end to end in shallow and deep, using a mixture of Mastercraft, Maximum, Craftsman, Tekton and I believe one DeWalt socket. (Yes I'm aware I have one no name 10mm shallow 1/4 drive in there. You cannot have enough 10mm. Will they all be necessary? Maybe one day... Does it make me happy to see all of the pegs covered? Definitely. Will I eventually bite the bullet and replace these trays entirely with olsa rails? Likely.

Other additions as of late include:
Metric and SAE impact sockets, misc sizes skipped in the larger set (27mm 1-1/8, 1-1/6 shallow and deep, 24 and 18mm) an 18mm sparkplug socket, 15/16 shallow 3/8 drive, and a 13/16 3/8drive deep well for my saw racks.

Next, as I've got a few things to cover:
- Impact rated Allen and torx bits including e-torx
- powerfist hose pliers
- knipex twingrips (actually loving the comfort grips!)
- 300mm cobras
- Doyle angle pliers
- warrantied HF 3-1/2 LB DB
- 2-1/2 LB HF DB
- MAXIMUM 4LB Sledge
- Norske folding razor knife (with hook and straight blades)
- probably a hole saw or two in different sizes (not sure I may have posted those before)
- aaaand not pictured, an HF 5 drawer cart in Orange, that I regrettably will not be assembling from two weeks until we're in the new rental place.

That's all for now. Until the next order that is.

Cheers,
B.
