This is what is used in the machine shop and maintenance repair world. Easy application that can be flat filed easily. Very nice folks too. Also, Devcon makes similar products.
I'm a fan of the traditional hard handle but I can confirm the new style handle on the 100 tooth is pretty awesome. Not gooey and hard to clean like the soft handles.
In our machine shop where hole diameter tolerances need to be held close, this is he fastest, easiest and most accurate grinder for drills 1/2" and below. We use for 135 degree points as well.
For sharpening on a bench grinder, we typically use this gauge.
I'm just a former mechanic who is a machinist now, not a hand tool engineer nor a metallurgist. I have though machined Snap On and other domestic brand impact sockets without difficulty for aerospace customers to make special AN spanner sockets. Snap On chrome sockets are more difficult to...
I would think Snap On chrome sockets are a nickel alloy but impact sockets are 4140 for higher ductility. Basically the material is not as hard for impact sockets so they don't crack.
So both are right
Continental Gorilla hose formerly known as Goodyear Gorilla is the best bar none. Used in our machine shop for years. Lasts longer than any hose we have ever used. Resistant to oil, metal chips and being run over by forklifts. 500 psi rated.
