    PHOTO Contest, Legacy Industrial $$$

I'm still debating whether it is worth the effort to move ALL the boxes out of the garage for this picture. We just moved into a new house so my garage looks like the last scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark

    clumps od antiskid

Hi I just finished the whole epoxy floor effort yesterday. When I went into the garage today I noticed there were some places where there were clumps of antiskid. Is there a way to remove it or sand it down or something without ruiningthe topcoat? If not I'll just live with it I guess.

    stinkbug invasion

I was cleaning my garage floor with degreaser and I could not go five minutes without those things flying in and landing on something. I tried blowing them out with my blower and when that didn't deter them I started vacuuming them up. I know exactly what is going to happen if I start doing...

    Hairline crack in Concrete

I am doing an epoxy floor and was starting the cleanup effort of the garage floor and noticed there is a hairline crack running through the middle of the slab pretty much bisecting the floor. It is really thin, I can't even get a finger nail into it. I don't recall seeing it before now but I...

What to use to neutralize acid?

Hi, I see in some threads that baking soda is used to neutralize the acid used during the etching process. I was wondering if this is the same baking soda you can buy at like walmart, home depot, and other typical retailers or if some industrial strength version is required.

Wooden stairs in Garage & Epoxy Flooring

That looks really nice, looks like steps carved out of granite. I see from the picture that you flaked all surfaces of the stairs. Did you have to disassemble all the pieces of the steps to do that?

Wooden stairs in Garage & Epoxy Flooring

Hi, I was wondering about the logistics on painting the garage stairs as you say. If I remove the steps to epoxy the floor, chances are the steps are sitting in the sun out on the driveway while I'm putting epoxy on the garage floor. Do you guys paint the steps with the same batch of epoxy...

Wooden stairs in Garage & Epoxy Flooring

So you put the epoxy that goes on the garage floor on the wood stairs as well?

Wooden stairs in Garage & Epoxy Flooring

I was wondering what most people do about the 1 - 2 step wooden stairs in the garage leading to the inside of the house when they put down the epoxy floor. Do people remove that and epoxy the whole garage floor and then reinstall it or do they not bother with the small area hidden by the stairs.

What to do first? Paint Garage walls or epoxy flooring first?

I was wondering if there is a recommended order, or at least an order that results in less cleanup effort for 1) finishing / painting the garage walls and ceiling and 2) applying epoxy floor coating.

Help, dampness in basement concrete, problem or not?

Sorry for the lack of info. The house is in Clarksburg MD. The basement slabs photos were from July 2013. The photos for the damp rings were taken yesterday. This is a new house, I have not gone through settlement yet. The sump pump is actually right next to the joint that looks dry. I...

Help, dampness in basement concrete, problem or not?

I was hoping that someone on this board is an expert on concrete and could answer a few questions I have about my basement. I bought a new house. The builder did not pour the basement slab all in one pour. They had not gotten around to installing the metal support beams when the cement people...
