Hi, I just bought an Eaton CHSPT2 Micro whole house surge suppressor. Are these suppressor sacrificial? Meaning once a surge goes through it, the unit is no longer any good and will need to be replaced? Thanks.

I agree that the workmanship is shotty. The measurements are slightly off which creates this issue. The runway holes should have been drilled another 1/2" to the right. I have a utility trailer on the lift right now, and it actually scares me to try to roll the jack because the drag it creates...

My HD9 was purchased in early 2010 and the RJ45 was purchased last week. If you use the runways at the widest setting, i don't believe you will encounter this isssue. I may have to go with that option because the jack does not slide very smoothly when it is wedged to tightly between the runways.
