Hi Twertsy, Thats a cool box you have. I do have a few 3/8" drive sockets and drives in my collection. I have been looking for more MTF but haven't had much luck. I did pick up this 43 page catolog from the guy I bought the set from. Let me know if you make it up this way to visit Mark, would...

    Monster Monarch Lathe

Thats a nice size lathe but I wouldn't call that a monster lathe. A machinist I worked with for years opened his own shop (ST Gear and Machine). He recently purchased a WW-2 era American Super Productive lathe (55000lbs) that I would call a monster. Check out his web site and see what he can...

    The Ratchet Collection Thread

Well thanks for the encouragement r olson. Being new at this its easy to tell if its old but hard to know if its worth the price to buy or not. The Ratchet Collection Thread

Well Lugz thanks for the info on the speedee-ratchet and glad to be on the exclusive club. One of the post refer to Mark that lives in Alton IL. I'm sure its the same Mark that I picked up the nice Will B. Lane ratchet. Great guy with a lot of knowledge on ratchets and tools.

    The Ratchet Collection Thread

I have just started collecting ratchets and tools for a little over a year. Being a rookie my humble collection isn't much compared to you veterans. Interesting that the Beall ratchet was manufactured about five miles from my house. The three ratchets to the far right in the third and fourth pic...

    Vintage S-K Tools

Thanks for the info on the Fulton set I posted. That was the set that started this interest in old tools for me last year. I've had the bug ever since and picked up a few nice items but nothing compared to some of the collections I have seen on here. Being a newbie it's hard knowing what to...

Twertsy do you have any idea the what year the ratchet was made? I have a few DBE wrenches that aren't listed in the catalog you listed. I will check the part number and what sizes it is. It must be made a couple years later. If their is anything you or anybody else wants a closer pic of let me...

Twertsy I totally agree with all the different markings. Here is a few close ups of the socket logo that is on the 3/4" ratchet. Also a few close ups of the other different markings on various tools. I might even have a few more different type of marking on a few more. I seen a previous question...

Hopefully here are a few more pics of my new MTF collection. Glad to see others interested in them also. The 3/4" socket set are marked MTF and the extensions also say True Fit. The smaller hex ratchet doesn't have any markings except SR 12 but looks identical to the square plug ratchet that is...

Trying to post pics for the first time of the MTF tools I was able to purchase last weekend. The tools are in the attachment. The trays they are in slide into the tool cabinet and the pic in the MTF label on top of the cabinet. Will take and post better pics if anybody is interested.

Thanks Twertsy for posting the MTF catalog. I was able to purchase a extensive box full of MTF tools this past weekend and the catalog helped identify a few that were not clearly marked. I"\'m not sure how rare the tool cabinet is listed but I bought that full with 60/70 sockets ranging from...
