20v DeWalt Leaf Blower- Which One?

I'm the OP here, and I went with the DEWALT DCBL722B 20V MAX XR blower which fits my 20v batteries. It gets the job done but not as powerful as my Stihl (duh). I only use it to blow the dust out of my shop after sweeping. They're up to about $130 right now. Good Luck!

20v DeWalt Leaf Blower- Which One?

Hey Guys: I'm in the market for a 20v DeWalt Leaf Blower and I see there are several available from DeWalt, as well as a few Chinese knock-offs that use the DW battery. Any suggestions on which one to buy? My use will not be blowing leaves but a quick blow off of the shop floor and patio. I...

Laser for Aligning Car Driving Onto Lift

Hey Guys, I saw this at a training customer's shop and was intrigued by it. When driving a car onto the lift, the motion sensor detects motion and turns on a laser beam that shoots a stripe downward from the lift's crossbeam overhead. The laser shoots onto the hood and dashboard to allow the...

    Refrigerator Door Problems

Hey Guys: I could use some advice here. I have a 3 door Kitchenaid (about 8-10 years old) that has the noisy hinge problem on the upper doors, it squeaks and pops whenever the doors are opened. Do you guys change the pivot bushings or just grease them? Also, my wife wants the door gaskets...

    Garage Speakers

You guys are all lightweights, when I want to listen to Led Zeppelin, the whole city listens to Led Zeppelin. I can feel the concrete floor shake when it's at 1/4 volume.😁

    Reznor Heater Installation Height

I've hung several Reznors and I wouldn't even use threaded rod- it will wiggle too much once installed. Use perforated angle iron (1.5"?) with diagonals to reinforce it from wobbling. Perf angle is expensive- if you have to buy it try a garage door guy, he'll likely sell it much cheaper than HD...

    Netgear Mesh System Router Problems

OP Here... To answer your questions, the model and router are hardwire connected with Cat5. The modem is a Technicolor CGA4234 modem/router with its own wireless network supplied by the ISP, Breezeline. I did/do occasionally have issues with Breezeline (I think they're terrible) but not like I...

    Disappointed in Fastenal

Wow, what can I say. I spent thousands there when I had the truck shop, but now I'm semi-retired and don't use/need much. I still have several stacks of their pull-out tray assortments of nuts, bolts, you name it, probably 40+ of them. I needed to fill up the flat washer trays and some other...

    Dead Fridge?

Hey Guys: My dorm fridge at the shop quit working and I just want to verify it's dead before tossing it. It was working fine up until the other day when it went warm. The compressor is warm to the touch (120+) and I unplugged it and let it cool down a few hours. I plugged it back in and the...

    Your most annoying shop sounds

I had two techs get into a brawl on the floor of the shop arguing over the radio station. I was in the office and heard the commotion, came out to see these two guys punching the F out of each other. I knew who the instigator was so I sent him home for the day.🙄

Shop Stereo System 30x40 (main area)

Buy a used PA system (like a band uses) and a Bluetooth receiver hooked to your phone and run Spotify or similar. A couple of cabinets with a 12" and a horn or 15" and a horn will be great! Cheap, powerful, clean. It's blow your doors off if you want it to! Bands are going to powered speakers...

    Keeping Garage Clean

When the garage door no longer seals well at the bottom due to slab settling, I use split 2" foam pipe insulation wrapped around the bottom of the door. This will seal an inch gap with no problem to keep dust and mice out. I rent a scrubber from the hardware store and scrub my floors about 3-4x...
