I mean it seems to me like a gamechanger. It would make stuff much easier to thread onto bolts. I wonder if it actually makes that big of a difference because I'd prefer to give my business to tekton. They have a store on their website where the prices don't fluctuate, and they actually warranty...
So I need to buy some deep socket sets. I'd kinda prefer to buy tekton, but I've heard GW has shallow broached deep sockets. Is this true? Shallow broaching sounds like it would be a huge help.
So I just purchased a set of bondhus torx screwdrivers (34532). The price was excellent and I had heard lots of great things about their quality. I was also psyched that they are made in the usa.
I got them today and noticed they are all slightly twisted and bent. It isn't extremely noticeable...
So I'm in the market for a good screwdriver set. I need something that won't strip out as often as my fatmax screwdrivers. I'd like around a 5-8pc set that includes a PH3 and a good mix of slotted as well.
Right now I'm leaning towards the wiha 7pc softfinish set, The proto duratek 8pc, Sk hard...
So I've been looking for an upgrade to my 9$ HF heat gun. At work we use nice top of the line steinels but I don't need to spend that much money. I was thinking of maybe buying an older steinel, or steinel rebrand used, however these can be hard to come by.
If I'm going to buy new I was...
So I'm looking at buying a set of torx screwdrivers and have been considering the channellock USA 5pc set because they are only 13.56 for USA made drivers. Has anyone used these? If so are they pretty good quality?
So there have been a few threads talking about this but I'd like so know what the real world differences between the 84tooth, 90tooth, and 120xp are. At least on amazon and home depot prices are all over the map for GW stuff so it looks like the 90t are cheapest followed by 120xp and then 84...
Well the most I'd be willing to spend is if I bought a matco 88. I've heard great things about that ratchet and it would probably last my whole life. Doubt I'd be willing to spring for a dual 80.
From what I've heard the GW 84 tooth is very similar to the matco 88, and I certainly like the...
I currently have a big USA craftsman socket set with 1/4 3/8 and 1/2. It's got the VJ ratchets. I love old craftsman, but can't help but want an upgrade. The sockets fit kinda loosely on their own, and the ratchets themselves have lots of mechanism slop and get jammed a lot.
I may or may not...
I recently was offered a nice 52 inch matco toolbox from a friend. It is a super badass 80s toolbox and I plan to go pick it up in the next few days. My question is this: is there still parts available for these old boxes? I am not sure what kind of sliders they used, but the drawers come out if...
Thats awesome! If they do come apart that would work out perfectly for me.
On a separate note, do you know if there's a way to fix the drawers coming all the way out? I don't know if they have ball bearing slides or what but I am not sure what would fix that and if there would still be parts...
That's awesome! Is there a way to convert it back? Did it require getting rid of certain parts of the two 26" toolboxes? If it's possible to convert it back that would be perfect because I could split them up when I move out and have two boxes.
So I've been looking for my first toolbox with drawers. I have previously just thrown all my tools into two tool bags and stored the rest on my makeshift workbench I built. I wanted to get a smaller tool cart like a 26 inch wide craftsman rolling tool cabinet with the 5 drawers.
Recently I was...
