    Garage door sealing/track tightening

There is a 3/8" to 1/2" slop at the bottom of the house garage door(s) where the bottom roller(s) are. So I was thinking, theres no track adjustment at the bottom where I might tighten up that slop and have better sealing, so could I place something like a shim at the very last inch or so...

I have a 6hp 60 gallon compressor that I would like to plumb in the garage. I'll need about 100' of pipe and about 4 outlets. I've been considering the Rapid air Max line, but it seems that getting the tightly coiled line straight and looking proper is a concern. Sooooo...Black iron pipe or ...

    Best Garage Door Source(s)?

Whatever brand you pick for whatever reason, if you belong to Costco, shop them. I had a local guy give me an estimate and the a guy from the Costco program: the Costco's guy was a good bit less, so I told the local guy he had to match the deal I got. It saved me at least 10% :rocker:

    Roof Ventilation Question

My 40x60 garage build is coming along and I need to know what would be the best way to keep the roof/ attic cool in summer: 5/12 pitch, Shingled roof, NO ridge vents, and I was thinking of going with an exhaust fan with louvers/movable slats that I would install in the far gable end. I would...

Thanks everyone for your input. A good suggestion to get the inspector involved early on. Yes, I am trying to work on a budget, (who isn't) and I have been gathering supplies whenever I can find a good deal, typically from Craigslist, but many things will have to be bought at the going rate...

I am building a 40x55 two-story garage and could use help/advice. Picture a walk-out basement in a house and that is what the basement/lower level would be like. Rainwater collection

40x60 garage to be built. I am thinking that collecting rainwater from roof gutters and storing it in a (possibly 2500 gal) tank would be a great way to water my lawn. Right now, grass is BURNT, so if I could put an in-ground sprinkler system in and feed it from the rainwater tank, I'd be doing...
