Hey guys. I realize there’s a conversational flow going on here. I just wanted to stop in and say hi.
I FINALLY got a chance to work on my Columbian today. I’ve had it over a year and it’s just sat.
At first I took a weak HF pneumatic die grinder to with with a small wire wheel. Eeeeh...
I've also got this little one in the cue. Again I know nothing about it.

Well I can't compete with visezilla above but I'm finally beginning to get my new to me, USA made Columbian back into shape.
It's a model 044-M3.
DOM is unknown. Maybe you guys know? It has not been abused except that it was left outside for a year or so.

I just stumbled across this thread. Very cool! I know nothing about pulling trucks but I'm looking forward to learning. Love the shop and property. That part of Maryland is pretty nice. I grew up in NoVA and often made trips up to northern MD to fish for striper and bluefish.

Made a stop at Advanced Auto Parts today to dump some used oil and picked these up.

I just picked this up off of CL for $40. Super sturdy. I've been looking for a rolling stand to put my cheapo drill press on.
Will post pics of it when it's mounted.

Very cool space! I grew up in Fairfax and alway thought it would be so cool to live in Old Town Alexandria or Georgetown. Ride my bike or motorcycle everywhere. I really miss NoVA.
I probably missed it, when was it built?

2. It makes metal stick to metal.
A friend has lent me his Miller 140 Auto-Set, a roll of HB-28 .030/8mm Solid Wire and a partial tank of mixed gas. I'd like to take on some small projects to get a feel for how this whole thing...
These arrived at our site from a factory that closed down in New Jersey. A lot of it is used up but so much more has never seen a machine or a piece of material.

New to me SK 1/4 palm ratchet and 1/4 driver handles. The extension and sockets were thrown in.
Not bad for $23 on eBay.
