Portable / Mobile Drill Press - Rapidrill

Edited the original post with an overall view of the project, but in a nut shell: The "frame" I am trying to build will serve as the joists and beams for a "deck". This "deck" will actually be a dual jetski lift.

Portable / Mobile Drill Press - Rapidrill

It would actually be 8 holes along the bottom flange of an each of the 84" i-beams, one hole to attach each piece of c-channel; likely 3/8". The holes drilled in the flange will be filled with the 3/8" bolt, and should not compromise the integrity of the i-beam (IIRC!?) I did modify the...

Portable / Mobile Drill Press - Rapidrill

I've got a dock project coming up that is going to involve bolting some aluminum c-channel perpendicular between a couple of i-beams. The bolts will run through the lower flange of the i-beam and the lower flange of the c-channel, with the web of the c-channel perpendicular to the web of the...

    Best Hand Impact Driver

I had a cheap-o 3/8" unit from Parts Unlimited or another vendor I snagged years back just to fill an order. I needed one last week to get the valley cover off my 416ci LS blower motor, and it blew right apart the first wack I took at it. Luckily a friend had a Snap-On unit I could borrow...

Are snap on sockets worth the money?

Destructive testing has as little to do with a tools ability to perform a task as a crash test ratings do to a automobiles ability to perform on the race track.

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Anyone kill a 3/8" M18 Fuel Impact yet? Mine bit the dust last night, sheered something in the anvil. We were driving some 6" lag bolts in our dock and my father in law had just commented on how impressive it was...such as life. Curious as to whether or not Home Depot will give me a new one...

Have you listened to the M18 speaker to compare the two? I love the ability to be able to charge a battery or play from a battery. It would be a great solution for my enclosed car trailer.

    Zoro Deals Thread

The M12/M18 stuff was what I was looking at also. Ive been eyeing the Halotron extinguishers too. Prices seem to be OK - I may pull the trigger on a 5lb'er for the garage.

    Zoro Deals Thread

Seems like 25% off brings their prices down to at or just below competitors. Perhaps its just the items I'm interested in, but 25% off is not nearly as nice with Zoro as it sounds.
