Your opinion on Titan hand tools?

Yes, I was aware of this. My store does not carry it but I could always buy and ship-to-store. I have a $5 off $20 and $20 off $100. If the consensus is positive, I would have to find more tools that I probably don't need to bring the total up to $100. Thanks for reminding me!

Your opinion on Titan hand tools?

I just completed a compressor/condenser replacement on a truck and found that I am lacking in impact extensions and adapters. I got the job done but it would have taken less time if I had had some adapters and extensions. I've been shopping around for an affordable set and stumbled across an...

Recommendations for a best value in smaller (1/4 and 3/8 inch) impact socket sets?

As the title says, I am looking for "best value" recommendations for a set of both 1/4 and 3/8 inch impacts. I have a fairly extensive set of 1/2 inch impact but nothing in the other sizes. I guess that I've never needed them before. I am strongly considering a set of metric sets from both...

Reconditioning and reviving 12V automotive batteries

With Covid forcing us to work from home we are driving each vehicle about 3K miles per year. We try to drive each one at least twice per week. I know ... not too good for a vehicle to be driven so little, but what are you going to do? BTW, this is in Florida where it gets VERY hot for a VERY...

Reconditioning and reviving 12V automotive batteries

This is the only forum that I could find that related to automotive batteries (electrical). If inappropriate for this forum, please move it. My situation is this: I maintain three (3) vehicles (2 trucks, 1 car). I purchased three new batteries in late 2016 so they are all about 4 years old...

Your "go-to" source for NEW tools?

My question relates to needing to buy new tools. If you need a new set of ratchets (just an example) where do you typically go if: a) You need them NOW? b) You can wait a bit? For me, if I need it now I run to a local store like HF. If I can wait, I will usually shop around online...

Best-value impact sockets ... your recommendations?

I originally posted this thread seeking advice on a good, best-value impact wrench: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=8594866#post8594866 I ended up buying the IR based upon recommendations from users. At this point, I am looking for a good, best-value set of impact...

    Requesting Pneumatic Impact Recommendations

Thank you all for your sage advice, especially Schurkey. It looks like the consensus is the IR 231C with 600 FT-lbs of torque. On sale ATM for $110 on Amazon. I prefer local sales but my local store is 20% more expensive. I'll see what the kid thinks. Thanks again one and all!

    Requesting Pneumatic Impact Recommendations

I am seeking recommendations on a pneumatic impact for a family member. He has started a new job at a local shop and he needs an impact. The shop recommended that he purchase his own impact for daily tasks such as tire rotations. I am looking for a "best value" recommendation for a 1/2" impact...

Looking for headlamp recommendations (the ones you wear)

While not necessarily a tool per se, was wondering if I could get any recommendations from members for a pair of headlamps that are bright, use rechargeable batteries, and are useful for doing work in dim/low light. This is the current front runner complements of Amazon...
