    Bookshelf Girt - 2x6 or 2x8

Sliding door to access the electrical panel. Yes overkill, but I’ll chalk it up to practicing carpentry skills since I never really had any.

    Bookshelf Girt - 2x6 or 2x8

Skinned with 15/32 plywood @ $22 a sheet. Primmed with Zinnser “Cover Stain” oil based primer, and then painted with semi- gloss Glidden. White on top 2/3 and gray on the bottom 1/3.

Added baffles and also stuffed those voids I pointed out with batts. The ceiling is 14” of blown in insulation and the walls are 2” of foam over the 1.5” XPS. Ready for next phase. Interior finish work or heater. I almost feel like I should have had the heater in place before the insulation...

That’s the same stuff I used. I bought 3/8” backer rod (smallest I could find) and started pushing it down into the cuts. I quickly realized I needed to cut the backer rod in half because it was a real pain to effectively to work it down into such a narrow space. I used painters tape and then...

Parked a couple rigs on the shiny new floor. Mother Nature decided to drop temps and some snow, so it was a perfect time to break-in the new shop.

Is Sika Polyurethane Gray acceptable to use to fill in my saw cuts? Just looking to keep those voids clean / free of debris.

Well, now that I’m in this state, I would say that I will be filling the expansion joints after my coating. I’m open to suggestions on what product to use.

Poured on the 26th of September. No sealer, completely raw. After a good cleaning (heck it’s new concrete), and 2 etching sessions, pressure washing 3x, this is where I’m at. I had some trouble with white powdery residue that persisted after the etching, hence the 3x rinsing. Nice spell of...

Can someone help me understand what’s going on here? I did “water the slab” for about 20 days after the slab was cut (which happened the day after the pour). I’m on day 37 now, so it should be cured, and I did put two 16” pieces of plastic to check for moisture and there wasn’t a drop. I...

So I've been looking at floor coating options, both expoxy and polyurea. I have questions... What temperature is acceptable for application on either product. It's getting cold at night, as low as 28 degrees thus far. Is the concrete temp a concern, or the ambient temp, or combo of both...
