They are small hole gages. Adjust one to a slight drag in a hole you want to know the size of then measure the gage with a micrometer. Jamie

Hi, welcome. 25 rpm is only about a 1-1/2% reduction. I don't think you'll notice the difference in performance. If it's the same frame size it should work just fine. Jamie

Hi, I bought a Starrett automatic punch to replace one that I lost. The old one had a replaceable tip, the new one doesn’t. Also the first replacement wasn’t the largest Starrett model. I ended up ordering the bigger one. If I need a lighter mark I just adjust it to suit. Jamie
