I paid $44 at Lowes for a 5gal. can and the mineral spirits was even higher! According to my buddy and I forget which one he said but to save on cost add water since one or the other sinks. Hopefully its the water then the heavy grime could be drained.
That's what happened to me after spending 375 on Saylor Beall with 13 hp honda then found a 250 tank and Champion air compressor for 200. The pulley cost 450 used on ebay! Couldn't see your pic.
Can't help with the unknown part but I too have the 390 honda and mine is a pain to crank even without the compressor belt attached, seems there's some sort of compression unloader which leaves the exhaust valve partially open until it runs to ease kickback. Just wondering if you have cranked...
