I have a 36x44 with 15' ceiling - all stick built Two garage doors 14'tall x 12' wide & 10'tall x 12' wide. One 36" wide man door. Quote for insulation installed was $2500. Quote for drywall smoothed & sanded (can't remember if painted) was $12K. Neither of those have happened yet.

Cut concrete around where hoist should go, dig out like 2 feet, and pour a block of concrete under each leg. Tear out and fix slab as necessary...

FYI - talked to a tiling contractor. He recommended using Laticrete Hydro ban on the backs of the steel tiles and then using thinset. The Hydro ban will aid with rust prevention as well as thinset adherence to the metal tiles.

I got a hair-brained idea last month and went to the scrap yard and got some 1/4" thick rusty diamond tread cut into 4" squares. I want to put these as accents in my shop bathroom floor between floor tiles. I will likely seal them with something - clear coat spray or some clear flat urethane...

5 month later update... Doors went in this week. Very impressed with the Liftmaster 3800 door lifts! As you can see, they were able to high lift the 10' door and clear the windows... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes, that is possible for some water, but it is most dry section of garage. Most of the water coming into yard is caught by upper French drain. I'm wondering if I should preemptively install an interior footing drain...

Why is that? The top old french drain is definitely adding water - the bottom one is not adding much, as the top one catches most of the water. The exit point on the drain is lower than the floor - as can be seen in this picture Day-lighting out to street...
