Power Washer Pumps. Cat or AAA?

DD's are usually more of a consumer grade, most of the time not worth repairing. Belt drives and gear driven pumps are gear reduced. They turn slower, last longer and will pull from a tank.

Power Washer Pumps. Cat or AAA?

I used to pressure wash for a living. General pump with a serviceable unloader and Honda engine. Get the highest GPM you can

Cant make up my mind on a sealer.

Like the title says, I've been hung up on this for a few weeks. I need to get the floor done so I can move on. I've been leaning towards TS210 but it seems like a fairly new product and I haven't seen many reviews on it. It's going on a work shop floor, not a showroom. I'm not concerned with...

I'm in the same boat. I've been leaning towards TS210 myself.

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT My 24x30x12 Backyard Shop

I absolutely don't need 200amps but I have the option of running a sub panel to my house if needed. If my house had sufficient electrical I would have gone that route. I asked an electrician I know about the cost of upgrading my 100a panel to a 200 amp service and it would have been big $...

Similar approach here...my house only has a 100amp service. Because of that, i'm getting a separate meter with a 200amp service in the shop. Should have plenty of juice. Picked up a Square D QO 42 space panel last night.

Install crew was supposed to come out Thursday the 20th but they were having some issues so their office called and rescheduled for this past monday. 7:30 AM they rolled in and started work. Amazing how fast these go up, 7.5 hours later it was done. 24x30x12 vertical roof 16x10 garage door...

Concrete time. Wallet was a whole lot lighter after this. 24'4"x30'4" 3500PSI slab with 12"x24" deep footers, 2" rigid foam XPS under the floor...and a UFER ground for my 200amp service panel.

March 2018. Pulled a permit to install an additional entrance. If I would have used my current driveway I would have had to cross over my drain field. That's a no go. ..and that was about all progress for a few years until December 2020. Couple big trees had to be taken down.

The level of excitement and nervousness has been about the same through this process but it's finally happening. Four years ago we bought this house, struggling to find a house with a garage that checked off all the other boxes. Wife said "You can just build one"...Well as we all know that's...

    grounding rod query

I'm in Virginia and had a #4 20ft rebar tied into my #5 in the footer for a UFER ground. That's what the county likes here. As far as your "insulation" goes, I think the UFER will be fine as long as your footer/concrete comes in direct contact with the earth. Meaning no vapor barrier or foam...

    Model trains on Garage walls

I have a O scale train shelf going around the perimeter in my home office. Would be cool in the garage, however there would be too many chances for the models to get messed up. Sent from my SM-N986U using The Garage Journal mobile app

    Slab insulation dilemma

Thanks guys, an update to this...it was a miscommunication and they had no problem taking care of it. We ended up using the poly on top of the insulation. They poured the slab on Wednesday.

    Slab insulation dilemma

Long story short, I drew out my concrete drawing to detail 2" XPS over the entire floor, with the vapor barrier underneath the foam but above the 57 crushed stone. Come home to find the contractor only insulated 2' from the footings and ran 2' down into the footer. Not the middle of the floor...
