So I lucked into a great top box and wound up trading the smaller middle for this guy. Now the only question I have is does anybody know a few good bottom boxes to go with the MB9100 I scored? My end goal is to bring the bottom box home to pair with a topbox from the same era (early 80's...

Also, found out the top one is an '84, the bottom is '82. The craftsman box? No idea. It's old.

That's a pretty good tip on the waterloo sliders. I was thinking of heading out to the sears return and repair spot to grab some as I need one for the top box too. If anyone sees a good matching Mac top box around or happens to live in texas and wants to ship me one I found online there.

Oh man, just scored these two boxes and I'd love to have a top like that to go with em. Snap Ons seem to be a lot more common for the right price around NYC though. Any idea why that might be?

Just got off the phone with Mac, who sent me to Matco. The bottom box is an '83 and they have no records of the top box for some reason which makes them believe it's from pre-'77. Maybe I have the wrong # or something but it definitely looks newer than the bottom one. Fixed the locks on them...

Honestly, i had awesome luck buying used Snap On ratchets on ebay for way less than the cost of new craftsman. Takes a little patience but I got 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" plain old steel handle ratchets in great shape all together for less than $125 shipped. YMMV but I couldn't be happier. Sockets...

After pulling out all the drawers last night I found the serials. Top is MB503 J1 and the bottom is MB506 F3. Anyone have any history on these like year of mfg, quality, original price, rough current price? I don't plan on getting rid of these for a long long time but it'd be cool to know...
