Hey all, I found a deal on one of these refirbished for 600 clams. Have any of you guys used one of these and what's your opinion on what thickness of steel you can weld with it. The guy that has it says he could weld 3/8" easily....1/2" with double passes. I'm not worried about the duty cycle...

Thanks for the info. I believe it's got to be the release mechanism since the ball bearing and spring setup went in great. I took the release mechanism apart and it looked good. It acts like it isn't getting screwed down tight enough to get a seal. I'm jsut at a loss on what could be happening. Jim
