Here's an interesting one I came across. 4.5" jaws. Never seen one like it before. Anyone know what it could be? its un-marked...a similar one was seen in a Railroad Museum in my area.. it is interesting..whole back part is threaded, about 7" worth, so no nut on back end...

thanks Nick, it was a great find.. and it was cheap...I actually about tripped over it under a pile of **** at a flea market...not dirt cheap, like $10.00...but more than reasonable... I got the labels and thanks for the great deal on the pipe jaws... I am not quite sure what I want to do with...

OK,,well that did not take long, got a chance to escape to the garage last weekend and got her taken down...here are a few pics of the vise.. Gonna get to work on it soon I suspect.. :)

How are you guys getting them out? I am going into the vise with them, and bending them and replacing them every time I do a vise.. no biggie, really, but will save a few bucks and a trip to ACE if I can get them out intact...I am thinking maybe people are going OUT with them, and grabbing them...

I got this vise out of a box in my storage, dont have a clue when or where I even got it originally. anyone know what the heck it is? besides a Morgan #4 vise? I tried to research it some and that was fruitless.. 4" has anvil on back with hole. I have not seen Morgan vises like this one...

Wilton C1 Restoration Finished it all up, Overall this vise was in good shape just some rust in the pipe jaw wells, and the underneath, OK a lot of rust..LOL not deep though.. aside from the rust it was overall in pretty nice shape after all. anvil nicked up, slight bending to small swivel...

portable band saw PASS AND FAIL first one crapped out second time I used it. next one has been fine for going on 5 yrs now... the thing about HF is that even if a tool is good, it still is a crapshoot as to whether the ONE you get will be good... SO far my compressor is fine...21 gal oiled...
