    Metal storage solution please

Wow! Thank you all so much for your help and inspiration. So many great ideas and solutions, but I went with bit of a bunch and compromise on all.

    Metal storage solution please

Thanks very much guys! Many of the pieces are 20' long, some are 24, so I don't think there is an option to stand them up. And, then lengths make any frame to hold them pretty huge. There are a couple more piles not in the pictures. The walls are not sturdy at all, so I wouldn't want to...

    Metal storage solution please

I decided to free up space in my workshop and move the small collection of raw metals out to the carport. But now I don't know how to organize the material so that it takes up as little space as possible but it still accessible (and inventory still identifiable). I have these 3 metal wheel...

    RC-840T relay/xformer -- qty 5

Sure could use some advice here. I'm installing 5 electric heaters in a 3 bedroom apartment (1 in each bedroom, one in living room, one in kitchen). They have built in thermostats but I would like to control them with a single smart-stat (probably an Ecobee). I understanding the wiring and...

#10 full thread pan head 2" screws please

I do have some washer heads by GRK and they are great. But when I'm attaching something to a 1" thick piece of wood, I think the full thread is important and I don't see GRKs with full thread. Thanks!

#10 full thread pan head 2" screws please

Attractiveness is an important variable -- finishing washers certainly have an appropriate name. I've considered lags, but screw technology has improved so much (and look so much better). I also found these, but the ID sizes are too limited...

#10 full thread pan head 2" screws please

I've never worked with finishing washers (except when they come along with hardware for a particular product). My limited experience is that they are usually quite thin metal and seem to rely on the shape to provide its structural stability. Am I right to be concerned about the holding...

#10 full thread pan head 2" screws please

Thank you all for the comments on screws. I use pan hand, full thread wood screws to attach things like metal shelf brackets (1/16-1/4" thick steel) to wood (that is between 1 and 2" thick). So, my needs, as best I can determine, for this include: 1) Full thread to hold on to as much of the...

#10 full thread pan head 2" screws please

I don't claim to have any expertise whatsoever with screws (or anything, actually), but aren't the threads very different for wood? Indeed, different screws designated as wood screws have different thread characteristics. That's one thing I like about Spax and GRK. Or maybe they're called...

#10 full thread pan head 2" screws please

Those look great! I've never ordered from McMaster-Carr, but I see now the benefit. Thank you!

#10 full thread pan head 2" screws please

Ugh! I’m so sorry. I forgot to specify that I’m looking for wood screws.

#10 full thread pan head 2" screws please

I used mostly Spax and GRK because I can't stand low quality hardware. I have a need for 1.5" and 2" full thread pan head screws, but I can't find any. Does anyone know where I can find really good quality screws that match these specs? Thank you! Joseph

    Grinding Concrete Question

The floor had stains and hardened drops of glue and epoxy and some cracks that I filled, so it needed a good smoothing. Sounds like I can start now with 100 grit resin pads, move to 200, spray the densifier/sealer, then move higher if I want. My understanding is that the higher I go, the more...

    Grinding Concrete Question

Sounds like I didn't do any damage and can now move to a 100 grit resin pad, right?
