What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Keep an eye out of you have any new homes framing in your area. They usually have all the scraps you need to build a proper bench.

    Another Insulation Question-Vaulted 2x6 Ceiling

That's a great idea. I was worried about r-19 not being enough...this way I can get that far and then build on top of it, as needed. Thanks for that suggestion.

    Another Insulation Question-Vaulted 2x6 Ceiling

I work for a homebuilder and have some pretty good connections, but even at that, the foam is going to be rather spendy for me (as I originally posted). I'm trying to get this done for more like $500, not $2500+. I'm mainly concerned with managing the summer heat, and I just feel like it MUST be...

    Another Insulation Question-Vaulted 2x6 Ceiling

It would certainly be more efficient, I just really hate to lose that valuable storage area above the collar ties (see pic for junk, ha). I know they aren't there for that, but as long as I don't get too much weight up there it really helps. I do have a ridge vent, but I'm thinking a couple...

    Another Insulation Question-Vaulted 2x6 Ceiling

I have a 24x24 that has a 2x6 stick framed vaulted ceiling with some collars about mid way up. See photos for what I'm talking about... How do I insulate and not completely empty my wallet (speaking spray foam)? Do I just go with r-19 batts with some styrofoam air vents? Is r-19 enough to make...

    Kraft faced batt width?

Are you planning to hang drywall or anything? If so, it'd be easier to hang first then insulate from above. Especially if you can do a blow in insulation. R-21 won't fit inside the 2x4 section of the truss, if that is an issue...meaning if you plan to have any storage or floored space above it...

Nice work! You have any specs on the build? Did you use a T-amp or car stereo or something to power it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Seat creepers

Sam's Club for $30. Unbelievable price if you ask me, but unfortunately I have no idea if they still have them. Picked mine up about a month ago. I'm guessing the same as the northern tool seat that someone else posted...only 20 bucks cheaper. http://www.samsclub.com/sams/shop-seat/prod9510022.ip

    Black Epoxy-Coat

It has a great look to it, just don't drop a drywall screw on there...you'll never find it! What do you plan to do with the block stem wall? If you have any epoxy left I would slap a couple of coats on there too. Or do an accent color?

    Garage Stereo Systems

I used to sing in a gospel group with my dad. We don't do much singing anymore, but the equipment takes care of my garage audio needs. Also, works great for an impromptu garage band or karaoke extravaganza. Yamaha 8 channel head and 15" Peaveys. "we're getting the band back together"
