    fan hum noise

HI, I installed 2 fans in my shop on one dimmer switch. The fans work good, however when on low speed, the fan makes a humming noise. If i increase the speed the noise goes away. What could be wrong? HELP!

    10x16 door,75K NG heater,outside light wiring

On a a side note, construction is hot around here and there seems to be a shortage of electricians, I had three no shows and two estimates that i got, were outrages. Had no choice but to pull the permit my self. Good place to come, if want to make alot of money. Ok now back to the original...

Direct burial #2 aluminum and j box

I think its ACWU aluminum. After peeling back the rubber and cutting the aluminum shell it leaves a sharp edge.

Direct burial #2 aluminum and j box

Help with question please, I have dug a trench and laid down the direct burial #2 aluminum, Do i just peel back the rubber and aluminum shell in a j box and bring the wire in the garage? The aluminum shell is very sharp, i am afraid it will nick the inside wires. Is this the proper way to do it?

    help understand setup

appreciate your input PattenP, I opened up the splitter box cover and saw two thick wires comeming in and then two thinner wires going out to the meter and the panel. Correct me if i am wrong, wouldnt that mean there is 200amp coming in and then getting split into 100amp going into the meter...

Hi, this is the setup of my house power and i would like to take 100amp underground to my new detached garage 50ft behind. Do i just put 100amp breakers in this panel and run a conductor or is there another option? Thanks in advance marty
