I've got an R panel skinned pole barn building with no roof over hang. We are adding a wrap around porch on two sides and would like to add a covered portion. Currently thinking 6-8ft covered. Similar to what is in the picture below. Because we have gutters on the roof pitch side we planned to...
I'll have to check next week when I am.back out there. The 60a panel is run with about 2" of conduit just below the main. The 60a does not seem to have a master breaker in it, just the three small circuits/breakers.
Sub 1 could be left with just the 30a septic pump. Sub 2 is a 200a panel. So it could look like a 200a main with a 30 and a 200a panels under it, in parallel.
Off our second meter/pole the previous owner had a 200amp, single breaker main panel, with a small sub panel under it currently housing a 30amp breaker for the septic, and a pair of 15amp breakers for an outlet right there at the pole and an outlet at the septic.
My barno build is near the pole...
20amp circuits, but from the switch up to the actual can lights (6 4" per switch) can I just run 14/2? Up to the switch I have run 12/2.
I've got a bundle of 14/2 so trying to use it up. All the outlets on the same room circuit are on 12/2. These will be LED inserts into 4" cans. Also, planning...
All apartment outlet circuits are 20 amp, 12/2 and limited to 8-10 outlets. Out in the country, no permits or inspections. But still want to do it the safest way possible.
Installed boxes and pulled wire this past weekend, only for the apartment part of our shop/barndo.
I'm seeing lots of...
All three of my foam companies recommended the full 2" on the walls as well as ceiling.
That said, only one then recommended additional batts in the sunny side wall. The other two thought their 2"CCF would be enough.
I asked about 1.5" on the walls and all three said it just wasn't enough...
We just put up 2" CCF on all exterior surface and will still follow up with batts on the exterior walls. That is in addition to a radiant barrier layer between the foam and metal. I can't imagine any less on the walls than 2".
That said, we are in the same boat, weekend place. So if I have to...
The big red box labeled RETURN is the return plenum, Return at the end of the red marked line, likely in that center area where the bathroom, bedrooms, livingroom all converge.
Central TX. 2 inch CCF on outside shell of building. Will add R13 fiberglass to all interior and exterior walls. Will also throw a layer of batts in the ceiling of the apartment. Assume it is well insulated.
Framing is done, starting to pull wire and about to order our mini split units.
For...
Already on order, but I was thirsty yesterday! Should have the new valve this week if Amazon wills it as a priority package.
From there the only water use at the property as of now is a toilet and sink in the old hunting cabin. We have not connected our new build yet (as I am only at Rough...
To clarify, we have an RO system for our drinking water from the well. However, the check valve on the system was stuck wasting all, so I turned it off yesterday and drank straight tap. Hadn't planned to dig into it otherwise as we don't have suds issues in the shower and didn't otherwise drink...
Also, of immediate concern, when I drink the water, it leaves a kind of burn in the back of the throat. Guessing we have too much softening salt going in. But no idea.
