I agree with you, but I'm still curious about how it's done. It is some sort of set screw, spring adjustment, etc...

I've seen a bunch of threads about how to calibrate a torque wrench, but I've seen nothing about how to actually adjust it based on your findings. In the case of the HF models are they adjustable, do you just have to make a chart, or just calculate the % off set and set the dial accordingly...

Well no luck. I went to the Soth Lake store here in N. Texas and at first the manager said they won't compete with other stores. Their price was $59 too. So I called corporate and filed a complaint asking to match the prices of the other stores and was told that I would get a call back. Well...
