If it was smooth and not treadplate, a scotchbright pad would be easypeasy. But I may end up doing that just to be sure to provide an even look. Oh, and it is NOT clear coated - 3003 bright diamond plate.

You are right, media blasting would be best, but no access to a blaster (without paying a shop to do it) so needs to be DIY. I'll test the oven cleaner method.

Besides the occasional hose out, I'll wet it down with the hose, then Simple Green and a broom and rinse. Pretty low maintenance for typical garage use.
