    Advice on tile upstand backing

Greetings from the Uk! I'm in the final stages of my conversion but need some advice on how to approach the 20cm tile upstand around the room. I've started chopping out the bottom of the plasterboard (drywall) but the board adhesive is proving a pain. The tiles are 10mm thick and I want...

1-10v signal cable for led panel lights

Thanks all! I should have mentioned that i'm UK based so will double check our own regulations however I believe they are similar to the US ones in that so long as the signal cable insulation is rated to the same as the main power cables. The switch we're using is a combination dimmer so it...

1-10v signal cable for led panel lights

Slightly boring question but can anyone confirm what cable we could use for the control signal for some 1-10v dimming led panels? Ideally to fit in the same channel as the main power cables, although some research indicates that it might cause voltage interference?

A quiet 'Clean' garage from Dorset in the UK

Nice work! I've started something very similar (also UK based) but i'm rubbish at having he patience to do all the work myself so have had a fair amount of help. I really like the cupboard units and lighting, and top work on finding a garage in the UK with decent head room! Don't be tempted...

Help me choose my tile layout!

I thought that laying a few of these out would help me decide but i'm struggling to commit to which layout (square, or offset) for my new floor tiles. Any downside/upside to either of these layouts that might help me make a decision? Which would you choose?

    UK based Porcelain tiles

Well, the garage is coming along nicely, electrics all done and walls about to be plastered. I'll do a proper thread once we're a little bit further. As for the tiles.. I tried a few of the wood effect samples and I think they would work but only for a much larger garage (like many of the USA...

    UK based Porcelain tiles

I'm pretty sure there are a few fellow UK people on here, i'd be really keen to hear your experiences of a porcelain tiled floor. Especially whether you've had any issues with cold weather etc. I'm really struggling to find a tile that I like. I'm keen to avoid a standard grey, but am worried...

Porcelain tile in the man cave

Looking great! I'm about to start my double garage and keep changing my mind on tile colours as i'm trying to avoid the standard plain grey effect. Definitely looking forward to seeing the finished pics!

Makers 30m2 garage build 4mx7.5m UK

Macker.. I'm also in the UK and thinking about those Costco units. Looks like there's a few suppliers on eBay... although some with what I suspect is a huge markup! I'm contacting the supplier via Alibaba... especially as they do quite a nice looking 96" version! Let me know if you do get...
