    Radiant heating questions

If the temperature setting upstairs is going to be warmer than the setting of your garage then insulate the floor, if its going to be the same then save your money. By the way will the heatpump be able to heat the inlaw suite the entire winter?

    Crack repair process

Does anyone know the easy way to open up the cracks in my garage floor in order to fill properly? In one post it says to cut them out, not sure what they mean, diamond blade, or grinding disc or chisel. Also how wide should the top be when I'm done? Any info is much appreciated KevinR

    Power line problem, pic.

I know the rules are a lot more flexible, mainly because the wires from the garage to the house would be protected by a breaker, whereas the main from the pole is typically not protected. It will just giver till it melts. This would be all bad. KR

    Power line problem, pic.

Something that I have seen here, because our services are in the back alley, is to run the service to the garage and underground it to the house as a subpanel, 100amp or whatever it takes. Very Tidy, no new pole required and just a little underground that you can rough in yourself

    used four post for sale

I have the opportunity to buy a used four post lift for about $2500, the guy is going to upgrade to a two poster. I have never had a lift but I just can't see the large advantage of a two post. The four post is easier to drive onto and it comes with an air jack that mounts between the ramps...

    Clear coating over BenMoore M40

You should look into a Canadian distributor as well, I am really wanting to install something onto my garage floor and I'm not alone. Yesterday there was a two page article about people wanting showcase garages complete with stainless cabinets, tile backsplashes and the works. All include epoxy...

    moisture problems in garage floor

Have you considered tiles like racedeck or the ones sold at costco? kind of expensive though. You really need to find the source of the moisture though. is it an attached garage? If not, could you trench around the outside and install weeping tile? How about installing a sump pump in a corner...
