    If the temperature setting upstairs is going to be warmer than the setting of your garage then insulate the floor, if its going to be the same then save your money. By the way will the heatpump be able to heat the inlaw suite the entire winter?

    Does anyone know the easy way to open up the cracks in my garage floor in order to fill properly? In one post it says to cut them out, not sure what they mean, diamond blade, or grinding disc or chisel. Also how wide should the top be when I'm done? Any info is much appreciated KevinR

    The make is a Stenhoj made in Denmark, Model DS4, I will need to go back and measure the length to see of my truck will fit, need about 190", not sure about that one, There was a cylinder replaced not too long ago on it, they maintain the shi ←←← heck out of their equipment though.

    I know the rules are a lot more flexible, mainly because the wires from the garage to the house would be protected by a breaker, whereas the main from the pole is typically not protected. It will just giver till it melts. This would be all bad. KR

    Something that I have seen here, because our services are in the back alley, is to run the service to the garage and underground it to the house as a subpanel, 100amp or whatever it takes. Very Tidy, no new pole required and just a little underground that you can rough in yourself

    Have you considered tiles like racedeck or the ones sold at costco? kind of expensive though. You really need to find the source of the moisture though. is it an attached garage? If not, could you trench around the outside and install weeping tile? How about installing a sump pump in a corner...

    Don't know what the weather is like where you live but i was told to keep the spacing 6" for the first 3 feet against the walls then goto 12". I kept with 300ft 1/2" lines and layed them out with the supply and return next to each other. works great. our winters get down to -35F
