    Show me your wrench drawer

I've been unhappy with how my wrenches are organized. I have the plastic drop in organizer. I have regular box end wrenches, gear wrenches, offset gear wrenches, and stubby wrenches. I'd hate to dedicate another drawer to another plastic drop in. I'm hoping there is a better way.

    Matt's over populated single

It's been a while since I've updated. Not much has changed in the cramped space. But, I did add a small portable a/c unit to help keep cool during the days I work in it. I do want to make something to organize my drill bits in one of the tool box drawers. Due to my father in law's situation...

    Matt's over populated single

A lot has changed since I last updated this thread. I did find a place to put all the parts from the inside of the '67 Mustang, and the '73 Mustang. I didn't realize just how much rust repair the '73 needed, and by the time I would be done with the body, I would have more in the car than what I...

    Matt's over populated single

The Camaro is in better shape than any of the Mustangs so they got booted to the carport. There are 6 Fords and 1 Chevy at my house. Every car has a story behind it. The motor is a DOHC 4.6 that I'll get to.....eventually...

    Matt's over populated single

I'm currently trying to find a way to build a shop more suited to my needs. In the meantime I thought I would start a thread of my current work space. I'm open to suggestions to make my garage more functional. This is about to be a wordy first post. I moved out of my parents house and moved...

    Advice on first shop

I will be working in this shop for sure. Funny how I go to work all day fixing cars then come home with the desire to sink my hands into some more. Is the conduit something I can run myself or best left to the professionals? I just remembered that I'm supposed to be picking up the contents of...

    Advice on first shop

No neighborhood association to worry about. County says as long as it's 10 feet from all property lines I can build whatever size I want. I probably don't want to go over 10 foot walls though.

    Advice on first shop

I have a single car attached garage which I've very much out grown. I had my '70 Mustang in there and my '73 Mustang in the backyard on the back burner. I received a fully restored '67 Camaro from my father-in-law which took over the garage. I bought a carport and put my 2 Mustangs under it...

    Air compressor upgrade

I have a harbor freight special 21gal 2.5 horse air compressor. It doesn't keep up with me when I grind, cut, or sand something. I found a craftsman 60gal 7 horse air compressor on craigslist for $300, I was wondering if this would be ideal for automotive restoration and repair? Thanks, Matt

    My 24x28 auto shop build

I also have an '01 F-250, I was wondering how much space you had from the truck to the work bench area? I was planning on building a 30ft deep shop so I wanted to get an idea. It looks like yours is a crew cab long bed though, mine is crew cab short bed.

    Hello from east Georgia!

Hello everyone, I've been lurking for the past few weeks gathering ideas from everyone. I currently have a single car garage that I've outgrown. I have to share the garage with holiday decorations and boxes full of family heirlooms. Recently, I got a new job that has made it possible to build...
