Pole barn | Skirt boards | Concrete floor

This is a 24 X 36. The enclosed part is 24 x 28. I did my best to level the grade and worked my box blade down to the clay soil. It's still bouncy and the water table is right up to the surface now that its been raining here in NE Penn. I have two questions - the first is the skirt boards. I...

    Mower spindles

I run OEM on my more expensive mowers because I'm super careful what I mow over. My craftsman "field mower" has had the deck gone over probably 4 times in the past 3 years. I ruin belts, shatter spindles with that thing. I'm into it for about $300 total for the entire tractor but am thinking...

I'd like to add a side roof to an existing garage

Thanks, yeah no HOA for sure but a tarp would not be a consideration. I would however go with a tubular frame and canvas cover, much like an awning. With the price of lumber these days buying a prebuilt anything like that might be worth it.

I'd like to add a side roof to an existing garage

I built (or rebuilt) a 12x26 garage onto an existing foundation which was the easiest permit to get without having to risk a variance. The left side is only 1 foot from the property line and the neighbor pretty much took that over in exchange for keeping it clean. The right side has another 14...

Easement, garage walls and property fences

I thought this may be an interesting topic while being only partially applicable to a garage. I have a 30' by 90' property. Yes it's small, it's closed in and generally short for space. I built a 26 x 12 two story garage to replace the old one, using its existing foundation. The building is on...

    Building barn loft doors

I need suggestions. I have a 4' X 4' loft opening framed out with 2 X 4 lumber and a single T1-11 sheet covering all the way to the opening. I bought pressure treated 7/8" x 6" decking and plan on making two doors with cross frames or like a "Z" barn style frame in the front with the boards...

    Thanks for the suggestions!

    Opinions please

Got a permit approved to build on an existing 12 x 26 concrete foundation wall that is about 2' high. They grand fathered my existing structure since it is only a few feet from the neighbors property line. Although I could (and would have liked to) go with up to a 20' wide new garage that meant...

    Can't recommend Pioneer Pole Buildings

Bob Greene...I don't have the number in front of me with the name of the person but he does state the name on the voicemail...I'm a bit disappointed that I've left three messages and he never called back. I was literally ready, cash in hand to buy but the office said I needed this guy to look at...
