I am not a pro machinist or anything close but have seen links to this company on different machine shop type forums and if I understand the rotary broaching process correctly they sell tools to do what you want but are not cheap:

I wonder where to get more info as to which truck models it covers--is it just a Chinese knockoff that only works on a few makes? The scanner makers silviaboy89 referenced don't make them for Class 8 trucks!
kapster, that is a mistake on Snap-on's part. The RKRTM936 kit for the magnetic bit ratchet comes with a 36 teeth gear but the online parts catalog shows it as a 30 teeth gear. Somehow I missed this thread with all the good info when it first was posted but was made aware of converting a...
Search on the GJ for the Snap-on date code chart and look for the symbol on your ratchet between the on & off that will tell you the year your ratchet was made.
You could go to www.collectingsnapon.com and browse the catalogs. The TM70B was around in the '60's and 70's--not sure when the TM70C came out but IIRC sometime in the mid '70 's. I don't think drivers would have the kits on the truck but like it has been mentioned it is available on the...

I think McMaster-Carr shows the pins you're looking for , just search for screw nails--they have a blunt nose with vertical flutes and come in the size your looking for--only problem is that they are sold in lots of 100 but maybe they'll send you a sample.
pop pop, as far as the fasteners you're looking for the label plate--I think you're looking for "domed screw nails". I couldn't find a link to other threads--maybe Elroy's floor jack thread?--but McMaster-Carr carries these--these were used in many members' jack and machinery resto threads to...
I have the K-D/ Gearwrench version of the socket caps as shown here:

The hex isn't as tall as the craftsman. The items with the quick release are marketed towards ratchet wrench use like members have mentioned and work great but are fairly tall--I have the GW...
You must have better bifocals than I have.:eyecrazy: A couple of guys I work with use these type from S•K that have similar pivoting jaws but I've never used them:

Go to the website and ask where the locking pliers are made--they look different than the HF items.
www.mercedessource.com. I don't have the exact pair of Grip-on 139-10 but a similar locking pliers from Snap-on which are made by Grip-on and use them to pinch hoses.
