Vintage Wright - Share it Here

I have an N-70 like yours. Seems almost singularly scarce. Unfortunately, mine is trashed. Sort of. I have the arm, the shifter and its spacer, two screws, two pawls and their spring, one ball, the head base? Am I missing something? Do you still have yours? Have you taken it apart? Any...

    The vintage Blackhawk Thread

Those Bullet tip tools are really cool. I see that Herbrand made similars in the 1940's and--believe it or not--I saw a couple of Walden Bullet rats the other day on e-bay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/255011704423?hash=item3b5fe1ce67:g:SVUAAOSwj~5gwVZY and...

    Walden-Worcester Ratchet Code K

Got an oddball (but heavy and interesting) W-W ratchet No. 716 exactly like the one in Figure 85: It has the same forged in K code. Anyone know who was making rats for W-W back in 1919? http://alloy-artifacts.org/walden-worcester-p2.html#interchangeable

Ace Specialties Co. Detroit locking pliers

Can anyone give me a hand finding info on this company? Found an old set marked AL-10 Ace Specialties Co. Detroit Old and beat to hell, but well made. Have no release lever, so... When I search, I keep getting info on Ace Hardware.

Re: ~ Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff! I think one of those puller sets went for just over $80 on the Bay. I had one and sold it for $50 for quick cash.

Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff!

Wow! I recognize the C-man open rats. I have them in 3/8 and 1/2. And I see you have two BT's as well. A C-man BT was one of my first real scores. I bought the other two I mentioned for a total of $30. A steal.

Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff!

Re: ~ Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff! I recognize the funny little OE at the top of one of your pix, just above the three line wrenches. I have its little brother: 1/2 by 9/16". Wouldn't want to part with it after all these years, would you?

    Let's see your Herbrand!

I have the little J-10, and it is an absolute beauty. Unfortunately, it works only in reverse. And it has no detent ball. But still, it is sweet!
