    the bvent will fit right to the adapter fitting that came with your big max and plug directly into the flu hole in the back no other fittings needed

    a lil weave always helps...if its a tight joint it will cut not bad, if theres a gap, expect o make a lil mess!

    try drilling a hole in a block of wood first put the wood over your sheetmetal and stand on it the hole saw wont wigle that way and will go straight thru ur sheet metal

    not really a garage question but

    i'm wondering about whats the best way to insualate the header area of an old house,(between the floor joists) where hte slab joins to the house..someone had fibreglass bats in there but the back of htem was all black from moisture over the years im guessing?, there has to be a better system...

    i wouldnt rent a cement mixer u can buy them for approx 400 and have it for a life time..or sell it when ur done, if u rent u have to rush....and have nothing to show for your money

    the 3" vent hole on the back would be the dead give away that 3" venting is sufficient...

    first....the electrical knockouts on the back, usually u just put a screwdriver to them and give em a few whacs with ur palm and they pop out..i've beat on this sucker with a hammer and chisel repeatedly and it aint budgin whats up???? secondly....the instructions show an 18" clearance space...

    ya it would be too heavy for just drywall anchors, stupid part is though the slots on top of the brackets dont accept 24" centers for truss spacing...i guess thats 24" truss thing is something new....:headscrat

    is the ceiling thimble the same as the wall thimble, i have 12" of glass up there i dont believe the thimble i picked up will open that big....

    so going vertically what would brace the weight of the pipe? the thimble going thru the chimney doesnt really touch the pipe so im thinking it wouldnt really have to be braced with 2*4's where it pops thru the drywall? anyhone got pics of an install?

    damn snow keeps coming down..prbly a foot up there now..realy hate the idea of opening the roof this time of year. so what are your plans, straight out of the unit with an cvent elbow then into bvent and up? thru a thimble int he ceiling and out?
