    4 tire inflation

I have a similar rig that I made up for airing down/aring up at the beach. Length of 3/8" air line with clip on chucks at each end. In the middle is a manifold with a pressure gauge, schrader valve, and bleeder valve. Allows me to air down 2 tires at once, and at the end of the day I can...

is anyone still using the old Makita 9.6v nicad stick pack tools?

Still using a 7.2 drill and angle drill for light stuff. If I didn't keep finding them for next to nothing, with good batteries at garage sales, I would give them up.

    1939 Walker Turner 16" Bandsaw

I have the 14" version without the gear box. Built like a tank. I had to change tires and bearings when I got it but it works great. Makes a good companion to my 20" Crescent/Delta.

Any one have the otc 9-way slide hammer puller set

I've had mine for 20+ years. Bought it new from a MAC guy. Trimmed the threads shorter when I blew them out. Great value and the vise-grip adapter is handy to have

I've had that bottom for 20 years. It has held up great considering it has friction slides.

    Stilh Buying Experience?

Don't paint all dealers with the same brush. The bad ones are out there....but so are the good ones. I drive past 2 dealers to go to the one that treats me best. Never had to bring anything back for improper repairs in 4 years. Never waited more than 2-3 days for parts, never paid freight...

What to do with old saw blades

Use the carbon steel blades for blades. Plane blades, spokeshaves, marking knives, etc. Soft enough to work but hard enough to take an edge.

Help! Solar city install left HUGE eyesore

Around here disconnects are always outside. Call you building inspector and check to see where it should be. Rationale is that if there is sun, you have voltage in the house. In the event of a fire, the FD needs easy access. I would bet they didn't seal where the conduit comes into the...

That long head hammer is called a fender hammer or a bumper. For hard to get at spots. BTW, the pry bar looking things are slappers, also for hard to reach spots. Really nice score with that stuff.

Mike, Hand tools and hand saws can be a slippery slope. I have about 50 saws...in addition to the set I use, just hanging on nails. Good steel, and so cheap, how can you pass them up? Check http://www.disstonianinstitute.com/ to check what models, etc.

Middle saw is indeed a D-95. The bottom saw is a D-23. Rock solid workhorse. Good finds all around.

It is a Dumore Grinder - Think industrial dremel. The same people that make the tool post grinders. It has a 1/8" and 1/4" collet. Handy to have when no air is available or you don't want to wait for the tank to fill.

    Vintage tools I found

I have seen the Walter logo 2 ways. "WALTER" and "VW - WALTER" like this wrench. BMW on the flip side? Maybe Walter started making one wrench for both. I have 2 BMW marked wrenches, both DOE and both Hazet.
