You want to extend the pad to make sure the base is compacted under the concrete. You can't really compact a top of a slope. You'll want eavestroughs.

Why wouldn't you want a good locking plier for welding or drilling? Good locking pliers will survive a brutal welder.

[memphis] I have the same ratchet in 3/8" drive and very pleased with it, very easy to change direction. Also have their base 1/4 drive ratchet and use it as much as I can up till I need I 3/8 drive were before I usually just grabbed a 3/8 ratchet.. I really like these ratchets.
