    Pad adapter for transmission jack

So I purchased this 2 stage transmission jack on Amazon for 200 bucks. It seems pretty smooth so far, but I want to use it to help support items under the vehicle when I am working on them, such as lowering a rear pumpkin or jacking up a control arm. I don't need to use the massive...

    Maxjax clearfloor

Yes, I did. My damn garage feels so small I thought i'd need a fisheye to capture it all. lol Thats alot cheaper than what I paid. Theres a local hydraulic shop that I got hose from. I forget the specifics, but I think they gave me 5 or 6000 psi hose that feels much higher quality than the...

His is brand new, so it's too heavy. His is the longbed with the V10. I was thinking 6500 to 7000 lbs. Either way, with my 5000 lb jeep up there the columns deflect inward slightly. I'm sure its the design spec, but I wouldnt want to go over the rated limit.

I just ran a single 10/2 wire across the ceiling where the lights were going to go. I mounted the lights on top of the wire, then pulled some of the wire into each light and used wiretaps to connect them. Each bank on on a surge protector, and all banks are wired to the same breaker and switch...

    Maxjax clearfloor

Thanks! It wasn't difficult, but it was a bit expensive. For the extra hoses, fittings and connectors you are probably looking at close to $300. Well worth it though in my opinion.

Instead of using a chain to hang...

Yeah... my ceilings are almost 11 ft so in retrospect I could have gone with a different model... especially since i never move the columns, but really this is fine for me. My buddy has an f250 that can't go on there, but everything else works just fine.

and ignore what looks like hydraulic fluid on the floor by one of the columns... i had stored oil there before i got the lift and it stained the concrete

    Maxjax clearfloor

with some of the talk about hiding the hydraulic lines with the maxjax I figured I'd post some pics of how I did mine. It's pretty easy really, you just have to get some longer lines made and get the proper fittings to connect it all together. Oh, and I got some 45 degree fittings for where the...

maxjax owners: what's heaviest auto you've lifted?

my grand cherokee with the hemi and armor weighs a tad over 5,000 lbs and ive had it at full lifting height plenty of times without issue... And thats with the arms FULLY extended to reach the framerails. That being said though, If I am going to get under it i put 4 tall tripod jackstands...

    Maxjax anchor question

Hey, I already installed the maxjax but when the anchor bolts are torqued properly the anchors are a little bit above the concrete. Does anyone see a problem with tapping the anchors back down (further in this time) and re-torquing the bolts? I went exactly 5/8 below the surface... I should have...
