Thanks for all the replies. I looked at the tag and it has ball bearings. I am still getting it wired and plumbed so what little I have run it, it sounds pretty smooth and the shaft is tight. I may pull it apart and take a peek, otherwise I’ll run it and keep an eye and ear on it.

Any advice on how to lube (and with what) this Ajax 5 hp motor? Thanks!

Something is suspect with it, it's been on there for at least a month that I have noticed.

I am having trouble finding 7" wheels. Zoro has them but after ordering I got notice they are out of stock. No luck at any of the usual interweb places either. I am not feeling good about using these. Any suggestions appreciated.

I was told the same regarding foam voiding the metal warranty by a couple builders including the local Morton builder. Another builder suggested using a building wrap on the backside of the metal in hopes it would not contact the metal. I got the impression they had not done that before.

Found this one on CL yesterday and picked it up on the way home from work - 1/2 hp commercial crown top 7in with stand. Shows little signs of use but it's crusty from sitting in a garage for years.
