    10' Straight edge

At my old work there was a stair shop below that has a straight line machine. You could feed banana board into the machine and the conveyor chain would hold the wood clamped as it went thought the blade. Now you had one near perfect edge. Once they had they all edged they'd set the fence and cut...

i was thinking of going for a ride to the local metal yard with a string and see if they had any 1/4 X 3 x 10 that was straight

    10' Straight edge

I have a project coming up that involves ripping random width boards into 6" wide trim boards. Some look like bananas others are ok but they all need to be 6" and fairly straight. What can I buy to keep on they shelf for a long time to use as a ripping guide? I have a 8' clamp guide but my...

    Rust-Oleum Epoxy

It looks great. There are some awesome suppliers of commercial grade floor coatings on this site, Garageflooringllc, amorpoxy, legacy industrial, etc.. They give killer discounts to GJ members and they products are not leaned out to make it in the big box stores profit margins.. I'm cheap as can...

Who is the concrete block expert here

It makes sense but the only problem is if I leave a big cavity I know some critter will find it's way into it. I've spent the last few year trying to seal up every hole I can find and they find the smallest holes. I can tie the wall into the rock or put straps in the joint to the rock. I just...

Who is the concrete block expert here

I have a few areas in my garage where they built the stacked stone foundation on top of large rocks. I would like square up everything by building a 3 foot tall wall in front of the rocks, back fill with gravel and top it with concrete so it covers up the rock and will give me a bench to put...

Sylax sealant versus ghost shield siloxatek

I'm on the fence about either TL 37 and Ghost Shield 8505 or Silax Seal (As I was told is has a densifer in it). The first option is about 2X the price but if it's a superior combination it's ok with me. Anyone make the choice and reviews?

    Small floor grinder

I just bought a 7" diamabrush and a $29 Harbor freight 7" polisher (variable Speed). The diamabrush is kinda mean to use. I don't know how people do big areas with it. I tried High speed, slow speed and wet/dry. I got the job done. A good heavy sand paper wheel on the polisher worked good too.

    Small floor grinder

I would like to clean up all along the edges of my new concrete floor where they hand troweled instead of power troweled it. I wish they had gotten a little closer. I have a 4" grinder and diamond wheel that I used on some of the forms. I think it may be too aggressive on the floor. I just want...

Garage built on Ledge. Looking for the right choice

My current under house workshop/Garage is building on top of ledge. I spent a year breaking out many areas so I could make it flat enough to pour the floor. There are several areas that I poured directly over the ledge. I have a 10mil vapor barrier under everything and over the rocks. I want to...

New Floor.. Looking for Clear with chips

How does that compare to the SPGX stuff? Is it something that I have to grind the floor to apply?

New Floor.. Looking for Clear with chips

Just had the floor poured about 3 weeks ago. I am looking for a single stage floor coating maybe with some chips. I am sure I will spill plenty of oil and fuel over time so I need something tuff. My Garage is Two levels due to ledge. I need to coat one part that is 375 sq feet and few weeks...
